I know we have a non-Zuffa thread, but this should get priority. Coming up this Saturday. Look at that undercard! Top four fights are the main card. Will be streamed on Sherdog.

I really thought that Torres would be in the main event, but he doesn't even get co-main?

HWs, people love them...WTF? Feather-fisted, glass-chinned, perpetually-on-a-comeback guy against like I don't even know him other than that he's a rapist or something.

Do we know anything about Spong's opponent, Bartlett?

Supposedly, he's a brawler, which doesn't sounds too good. Spong via hole where his opponent's head used to be.

That's actually pretty good. I have always like Gerald Harris.

Oh Jesus Christ. This guy's in real trouble. Spong fought much bigger men (for the money) and absolutely huge names in kickboxing-only events. His strikes are so effin vicious. He's going to murder this guy.

Looking forward to this one.

Curious as to how MMA (Non-UFC) does on American network TV. (Y-again)

Also, with Bellator on Spike, a DREAM show on NYE, K-1 on Spike, GLORY, Mayweather, Ward, Canelo bouts, and whatever else, a lot of fights out there to come.

Spong and Torres, and Rumble could do a decent FIGHT NIGHT in Zuffa terms, so we'll see if more than just the more interested fans care.

They need to show this Spong opponent like raping a dolphin or something...otherwise I don't think I can watch it. Or maybe Tyrone finishes him with a body punch or knee, that would be humane.

Dear goodness.

DJ fell like a truck.

Rumble looks beastly.

He does look beastly, no reason why he should have been trying to cut weight all the time. Guy's a beast @ 205.

That was a fun watch.

3 finishes.

I think they fed Arlovski, Spong and Rumble cans, and the results were obvious.

Spong's opponent was doing his pre-fight fighter bounce and his titties were bouncing in a hypnotic fashion.
This guy was fed to a wolf. Yikes.
I'd like to see Spong fight someone in the top, oh......50, to gauge where he will be down the line.
Looked good as expected though.

Torres. I think it is getting close to the end of the line. The game has just passed him by.
I have always like his heart, hate his stance, and just don't see him heading back to the UFC.
Give that kid form Brazil credit. Solid muay thai game, and just beat MIguel on the feet.
Not sure if guy has any ground-game, but didn;t need it. Huge win for him.

That DJ guy was a joker. I mean, Rumble was literally licking his chops before the fight. "The Prodigy", is your nickname? Uh, no. Felt bad when he took an epic ballshot, but trying to pull a fast one on an eye-poked Rumble and getting KO'd on a straight by Rumble was fitting. He looked great, and I think he's one or two fights away, or contract expiring, form being a 205'r in the UFC.

Arlovski was fed a can, and opened said can. Greatest P4P beard I have ever seen.
NOt sure where he fits in the HW scene now, but I think he could still compete with mid-tier UFC HW and do pretty well.

Overall, good show and I'll catch the next one as well.

I didn't watch any undercard but I felt like the main card was full of one sided fights.

The only can on the card was Bartlett, and I didn't have a problem with it because Spong was an MMA debutante. But for that reason he shouldn't have been placed on the main card, as was their original plan. Cobb-Torres or Harris-Burkman should have gotten the nod instead. Those were competitive match-ups involving decent mixed martial artists.

Linderman and Cole were no cans. Linderman had beaten Raphael Davis, Hayes * 2, Brents, and split w/ Cole. Cole had beaten Kyle, Jordan, Wiuff, Hayes, and split w/ Linderman. They are low-ish level guys for a major organization, but they certainly belong. Arlovski and Johnson were just bad match-ups for them on athleticism and TDD. That's why they were mismatches, not so much in caliber. It was a mismatch in the same sense that Tim Means vs. Justin Salas was.

Only the Torres-Moraes match was competitive, so that's the only one I really liked, even though ironically the crowd was booing, but it was a decent evening of fights nonetheless. The thing that I liked about it was the production value. Everything was clean. They were much better than Bellator in that dept at least. But Bellator spares that expense for a reason. I hope it wound up being worth it for WSOF, as well as the payouts. Although I did expect them to be a bit more pricy actually.

Well, when you're a low-level guy in small org. who has some nice low-level wins, and get called for a fight against an elite fighter who is two fights away from a 205 return to the UFC, and said caller of fight is a new org with a pay-to-play deal with NBC Sports who is looking to maximize eyeballs on screens by ensuring big finishes.........
And you're the breathing sacrifice.....what would you call them?

I didn't mean "can" in a disrespectfull way, but if you're paid to essentially get your ass beat, that is not good.

That Torres opponent was amazing. Jeez, some of the best movement I've ever seen in MMA. Beautiful counter-punching and then right out...never got hit hard, surface damage. Wow. The UFC scouts missed one. This guy's going to be great.

And the crowd booed them??? Oh jeez.
