UFC 151's cancellation, and all of the rumours before and after were by far the most interesting to me. Really the only story this year that made you hit all of the news sites trying to figure out just what exactly was going on. Shades of Diaz-gate from 2011 (did that win last year, or was there something bigger?).

There were no particularly good stories. This was a bad year for MMA. Maybe that's the story.
