Sure, can't blame him but taking away the competition and his argument is knocking dudes the **** out in quick time. George Foreman got to 40-0 knocking the **** out Joe Frazier and Ken Norton inside of two rounds on the way. Hell prime Tyson probably wouldn't have beaten Foreman at the time.

Tyson is one of the few boxers in history with comparable power to Foreman, plus he would have a ridiculous speed advantage

IMO Foreman would be just about his worst historical matchup.

i think it has to be these two, and then the question is, if they were both at their peak who would win? That is an epic imaginary fight. Tyson at his peak was an incredible force of nature. Ali at his best was arguably the most technically, strategically and maybe even athletically skilled boxer ever. Could all of Ali's speed and guile and his jabs and quick feet (and yes his power) stop Tyson full-frontal assaults? It's hard to imagine that at Tyson's peak anybody could defend against them. I would say Ali might pull it off, but I'd still put my money on Tyson. Obviously Foreman would have been a huge challenge for Tyson too with his reach advantage and power, but I still think that Tyson would have taken him from below. body shots and upper cuts and those lethal hooks.

And for the guys who said Prime Tyson got tooled by Buster Douglas that is bs. Tyson was not in his prime psychologically by a long shot, and your body don't win when your mind ain't there.

Buster Douglas was in a much better place with losing his mother, nothing like Tyson having to change trainers

Tyson's prime years are always changing, it was the 4 months between the Douglas and Williams fights that his prime actually ended or sometime around Spinks. The excuses and shifting prime for Tyson are even worse than when Brits make ridiculous stuff up for Naseem Hamed, but at least he got beaten by a legitimate top 50 atg and not a mediocre journeyman.

Even if we want to ignore logic and believe the excuses that Tyson magically lost his prime again, he still should have beat this journeyman.
1. His best win outside of Tyson is either shot Trevor Berbick or crackhead Oliver McCall.
2. 0-4 (4 Ko's) in his other title fights
3. Douglas got Ko'd into retirement by Holyfield a couple of months later
4. He was a tune up for a Holyfield unification

Floyd Mayweather isn't in his prime either, he still has no business getting ko'd by Jesus Soto Karrass, Seluck Aydin or Carson Jones which is the quality that Douglas belonged to in 1990. Or Canelo having a tuneup before the PBF fight and getting KO'd by like K-9 Bundrage

Tyson does get the most excuses ever. Whatever you want to believe about when his "prime" was, Tyson was never a tough fighter who could weather a storm well. That's key when you fight other greats, you're not just gonna KO everyone you put your hands on.

Tyson was limited by his style/length and his stamina. He has no argument at all here. Seriously loling at the idea of him attacking Foreman's body.

Pretty clear and convincingly Joe Louis. The record speaks for itself. No heavyweight really comes close to it for consecutive years as champion, or consecutive title defenses.

Heh, Tyson didn't even have a real corner when he fought Douglas, and was mostly just partying when he was in Japan.

Question for those who remember, was the long count real, or was it just whinging?

It is kinda interesting seeing some posts from people who I know have not seen 10 full heavyweight fights.
