Re: Boxing Thread 4.0
Garcia proved to be a step ahead of Broner all throughout the fight, Broner had no chance from the start.
If Garcia moves back down to 35, Jorge Linares is a fantastic match. They are both similar, though I think Linares has quicker twitch to him.

Loma/Garcia at 135.
I'd pay to see Crawford/Garcia, at least Crawford won't punk out like Broner and we know we will get an action packed fight.

Does Charlo's opponent have polio? WTF is going on? He is walking with an insane hitch at the knee. No ACL or something? He just fell forward to his knees unprovoked! What the hell is this? Stop this fight.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

I think it's good that he did, who knows if he could have put on another performance like the one he had in April. His final fight was a classic.

Definitely thee most boring champion boxing has ever seen, I give him respect but people like to talk alot of crap about Mayweather being boring and scared but this guy is a million times worse... I mean look how big he is and he fights scared , he won the majority of those fights because he was the bigger guy. The fight with Joshua was a classic but he hasn't had a great fight in like 15 years honestly.

Tremendous body shot, indeed. Took the wind right out of Indongo.
A lot of interesting names at 47 for Crawford. Let's not screw this up, boxing.

Re: Boxing Thread 4.0
Any Boxing Thread regular avoiding Mayweather/McGregor and watching HBO? I'm not going to watch MayMac, unless the HBO ends a bit early but even then, I'm not really interested. The fact that Mayweather is around 4 to 1 odds is almost absurd.
OTOH, Cotto/Kamegai is kinda 'meh' but has a chance at being entertaining. Cotto is on the outs and Kamegai, while tough, is probably too long in the tooth to truly challenge Cotto. Rey Vargas/Ronny Rios is a solid undercard fight.

There were likely many more boxing fights and MMA fights in the month of August that were/would be more competitive than that circus show.

Cotto-Kamegai in Round 1 has more action than what I'm expecting of 12 rounds of Mayweather-McGregor.

Fun fact on the main event tonight:
90: % of bets placed that have Conor winning.
82: % of the total money bet that has Floyd winning.

Conor looks pretty nervous, honestly. All his confidence and calmness seems pretty forced at this point. Never seen his body language like this. Maybe when he gets out there, gets hit a few times to get angry, and gets a few hits in of his own, that'll change things.
They have more money to justify betting huge against a small return if they win.

Why is this ref scolding Conor before the fight? He was looking at him the whole time when he gave the instructions of all the things not to do. That was pretty unprofessional.

Conor looked like he stunned Floyd a bit on that uppercut counter. More than many thought Conor would do the whole fight.

Rd 1 Conor
Rd 2 Conor?
Rd 1 Conor
Rd 2 Conor?

I'm reading Kevin Iole's tweets and you may be correct. He also says the fight is boring though.

Clean sweep so far for Conor. 3-0. His switch stance and level is really confusing Mayweather, as well as helping him close distance quickly. Also using the range beautifully.
