First sight of aggression from Loma. Still lost the round - down 7-0. Clean sweep this far.

7-3, close rounds right now. Loma needs a knockout imo.

7-4. Ward had it 5-5 after 10.

7-5 rounds for Lopez. Although I will say that Loma's rounds were more dominant than Lopez's.

Big 12th for Lopez. Have it 8-4 for Lopez, 116-112.

Loma took too long to get his offense started.

I think Loma wins a rematch, as long as he's aggressive early. Props to Teofimo though, he fought an extremely smart fight.

The No Mas Chenko days are in the past. Lomo used to KO or force the guys to quit by round 5-9. He didnt start fighting until the 7th round this fight. You cant go that long into a title fight expecting to be able to pull it out over and over again. Sooner or later it will catch up to you. He needs to go back to his more aggressive days.

That was desperation, Lopez dug down deep and Loma had to sacrifice his defense for a lot of offense. If Loma fights like he did from rounds 7-11 at an earlier point in the fight like round 4 or 5 I think he takes it. But yes, tonight Lopez was the better man.

I would think Teofimo wins a rematch, he'll be better prepared for going deeper into a fight now that he knows what it takes. If Loma gets aggressive early he may get sparked.

Good fight. Loma started wayyy too late. Loma is my favorite boxer now but he doesn't look like how he looked in the past. Maybe his power doesn't translate that well at 135. I had it 115-113 Lopez but I was hoping for a tie so we can see a rematch. Congrats to Lopez though, he dug deep and pulled it out . Some very good fighters in 130-135 divisions.

Lopez was the bigger guy and I don't think Loma knew how fast and quick Lopez was. Lopez was almost just as quick as Loma, I think that threw Loma off. Loma doesn't look like the same fighter at 135 like how he looks at 130 and 126. But you are right, loma took way too long. If he had started fighting in the 4th round like how he fought in the 7th then maybe he would of won but I don't get his game plan of trying to get a 23 year old tired.

Agree with all of this. I think its a mix of not being as dominant at 135 as he was at the lighter weights, the year off, Lopez being a damn good fighter, not the best game plan, and a lot of these guys have been watching Loma for years now and probably have better game plans against him.

But I would like to see a rematch, hopefully with Loma not waiting so long to actually get going.

Yup, all of those things factored in all together. I wouldn't mind a rematch but with the score cards being so wide I'm not sure if that happens. Lopez might want to face the winner of the Gervonta Davis fight.
