Mexico puts small amounts of steroids in their cattle. Many many Mexican athletes have tested positive in their urine but not in the hair follicle test same as in the Canelo case.

so most mexican fighters cheat?

I'm not trying to change your opinion just give some context. The Soccer team also came up positive for the trace amounts of steroids again only in the urine sample not the hair follicle. There is HGH in Mexican beef.

I think Bivol and Beterbiev give Canelo lots of trouble. Not sure if Canelo will go there since both are actually physically bigger, stronger and punch harder than Canelo. Those guys are not washed up versions of Kovalev.

Saunders does too because of the stylistic matchup.

Man, would love to have seen a prime version of Froch or Ward against Canelo. Would have favored both over him. Those would have been some good ass fights.

Ward vs Canelo sends shivers down my spine. They're two of the absolute best of the past 20 years. And they have only missed one another by, like, 3 or 4 years. Fuuuuuk.

No doubt. I can see him go down as a top-10 all time.

Waiting to see how he does against Mungiua and Hurd.

Dang didn't know that. IDK what can be done about that.

From what I understand the minimum amount of the HGH was raised slightly universally.

Kind of. That belt Canelo won by beating Rocky Fielding was more of a trinket than a real strap. Saturday was the first time Canelo really campaigned at 168. Either way I would love to see it I would ride with Canelo pulling out the W hes more skilled IMO.

I think Canelo is #1 pound for pound. I think that today and I thought it 12 months ago.

I also thought him facing the #1 168er and a guy w 7 inches of height would be competitive. It qas not. He's that good.

Not Mungiua good. But good.

That’s easy work for Canelo. Neither are skilled enough to give him trouble. GGG washes both and he’s past his prime.

Mungiua isn't anything special. His defense is poor and he has average to below average skill and power.

Exactly. He’s a fun fighter to watch, but skill wise he’s nowhere near Canelo’s league.

Only person in the 160 range that could give Canelo trouble is probably Saunders. It’s a bad stylistic matchup for Canelo. Maybe Charlo.

I agree.

BJS, maybe, but probably not Charlo.

The style with BJS is interesting. But awkward style might not be enough to challenge Canelo. Length and range didn't help Smith. Canelo's own style of patient demolition is an antidote to just about anything.

BJS might have the mental chops, though, where Smith didn't. BJS will let his hands go, I'd bet. Especially given how late he is in his career and the fact he has been ducked for big fights for a decade. This is one shot, he'd better go out on his shield.

People can say what they want about Ryan Garcia, but he's going to be an extremely entertaining fighter.

He's probably going to get knocked out once or twice, but at least he's willing to step in there with the big dogs. For the record, I think Tank beats him in a very short slug fest, where they will will exchange knockdowns.

I didn't watch the fight that carefully. But there was one point where Garcia hurt Luke and got super aggressive. His chin up and flailing. It looked really bad.

Like I said, he's going to at least provide entertaining fights and has the power to hurt his opponents.

Out of all the new guys at 135 range, he's ranked the lowest among Haney, Teo and Tank.

miguel berchelt has the worst defense in the history of professional boxing. that was insane.

Easy win by Canelo. I don't even know why they bothered with this fight. Hopefully Canelo fights Billy Joe next and soon.

It was a mandatory defense for the Title that Canelo took from Smith. And your in luck Canelo vs BJS may 8th signed sealed and delivered.

I'm not so sure about that Garcia at a minimum has fought at least 1 top 10 guy in Campbell more than Haney can claim and Davis doesn't even campaign at 135 hes a 130 guy. Lopez of course is king of the hill.
