I normally like Smoger. But tonight his style of reffing actually worked against him because he lost control during certain parts of the fight. It's true, B-Hop was initiating a lot of the dirty tactics earlier on. But the thing is he's more clever in the way he goes about it. It allowed B-Hop to get into Murat's head. Anyway, this comes as no surprise. B-Hop has a reputation for being a dirty fighter. Props to him for schooling yet another younger boxer. I don't care if Murat isn't an elite fighter, B-Hop is almost 50 years old and was taking some really hard punches in there. He also defeated Murat from a psychological and mental standpoint.

BTW, Adonis Stevenson is the best light heavyweight in the world and would beat B-Hop worse than Chad Dawson did.

Hopkins gets to play under a different set of rules at times and it is wrong. He won clearly but Murat wasn't given an even playing field.

Rosado deserved to fight and fair judging. I wasn't impressed with quillen. I think Jacobs can get him out.

Wilder needs to fight arreola.

i hate this "bhop is allowed to" crap

thats why he does it and doesnt stop but when Murat or any other fighter do it back
they get sh*t for it?

someone knock this old prick out. Yes in the 2nd half bhop did his thing and i like him
but enough is enough. Give him warnings and points off too. And smoger favoring him the whole
fight.. pushing Murat over and over wtf is this. I would have knocked the ref out if i was Murat.
prob get banned but hell he was asking for it. then kisses and hugs Bhop after the fight?

i understand they might have a history and are friends but this is uncalled for BS.

I don't like the way Smoger pushed Murat's face. It's not a good look. B-Hop hit after the bell a couple of times too. It just didn't look as blatant looking. He also kissed him on the back and in the back of the head. But he never got warned for that. It's true, B-Hop does get to play under a different set of rules. He fights dirty and will try to get into his opponent's head. It's practically the story of his career.

End of the day, Murat landed clean hard shots on Bhop and couldn't hurt him. He got walked down and overwhelmed by a 48 year old fighter. One of bhops best fights in years

I think you're underestimating his ability to conceal a lot of his dirty tactics. Everything is obvious on tv to us but in the ring they are very suttle.

True. At the end of the day he also managed to pick apart yet another mentally weak fighter that happened to be much younger than him. People may hate B-Hop and his tactics, but really he's been doing this since forever. Fighters should know what they're getting into. A lot of them just aren't mentally prepared.

But like I said, B-Hop couldn't do this to the likes of Stevenson and Ward.. B-Hop is lucky that there's a cold war between HBO and Showtime because both fighters would probably force him into retirement.

Arreola would kill him. Wilder is another heavy weight hype job in the mold of Mitchell.

Wilder's legs got wobbly from a weak hook that Firtha hit him with. For all of Arreola's fault's as a fighter, the guy can hit.

Is that a fight they are planning on next for Wilder? If so, then I agree with Butch. Going from guys like Harrison, Liakhovich, and Firtha to Arreola is a pretty big climb IMO.

Saw the HBO Sports Gatti-Ward documentary. You know, I've seen that trilogy from a fan and boxing standpoint countless times. Then I watch the documentary and we've heard all the stories from both camps how close they were, but the documentary provides a real emotional dynamic to the fights. I mean, it's so much so that if I watched the trilogy again, I would feel like watching it for the first time again.

Not expecting much of a contest tonight, Golovkin is going to tear Stevens apart early.

Giovani Segura-Hernan Marquez on UniMas/Azteca is a sleeper FOTY.

It isn't going to happen... weight difference too much, different network, and honestly it is asking too much of both fighters to fight each other.
