Yeah Chael and Bones were hanging out in the streets of New York laughing it up, and joking around when TMZ caught up them, and Dana states that "Bones hates Chael Sonnen and wants to end his career or something to that effect" (LOL). Dana is a promoter and a good one, so he will do or say anything to make sure the TUF ratings are skyhigh.

Hell, Rashad and Rampage were supposed to hate each other more than anything, and they were such good friends that they wouldn't even hit each other during their fight!

Well to be fair, I don't think he always exaggerates rivalries. I think Rousey genuinely possesses a pathological hatred of Miesha Tate.

BTW, with today's news that means that Chael can't use his PEDs against Wand. Who knows if Wand still uses or not, but could make for a more interesting fight.

Aren't they fighting in Brazil? I don't see how an NSAC ruling can apply in another country.

Well UFC said that they are going to honor the NSAC rules for all international events. That said, I remembered now that Brazil kind of set up a little athletic commission now, but with serious help from the AC. So I think whether or not they allow TUEs in Brazil is going to be interesting. Not sure either way.

If you could fuse Chael's mouth with wandy's pride ferocity you'd have the most marketable star the sport has ever had. It's a shame he's such a boring fighter and wandy's so washed up.

Dana White deserves a lot credit for MMA's quick rise in popularity over the years, but he's been doing more harm than good for a while now. I've already lost a considerable amount of interest in MMA and I don't see the sport being in a very good place 5-10 years down the road.

I honestly believe in the last 6 months he's started losing his mind. I was a huge Dana fan before but it seems every event now he comes out and says something completely stupid and counter productive to what he's trying to achieve.

Has anyone been watching this tuf? How is it?

Know how you know their two "fights" were staged? Their fight contract hasn't been signed yet. So we are supposed to believe that these dudes can't stop fighting for free, but won't fight for money?

I watched the first episode. For some reason there is a female coach on each team, which makes sense... except one of them is a volleyball player and one is a basketballer. Neither of them have anything to do with fighting whatsoever. On top of that the one on Chael's team doesn't speak English. It would be like Rousey having Tony Parker as a coach on her team. Very weird and awkward.

Obvervations:

Everyone in Brazil works out to some extent. Everyone from the fighters to the family members are muscular.

Heavyweights were all flabby and not particularly impressive

Wanderlei has nothing of value to say about anything

Every one of them is very religious and God favors each of them

One guy kicked another guys head off right as he fell to the canvas. It was brutal and definitely illegal

I feel like they're setting up for Chael to pick Wanderlei's training partner. He beat up some guy with a purple mohawk.

The subtitles are infuriating. Their jump from being up the top to down the bottom, it's almost impossible to follow.

Edited the title now that the season is actually on the air.

Don't know if I'll end up watching it. Started to get into the Canada/Australia one, but lost track. May try to catch up before the finale.
