So does Mayweather fight Martinez/Cotto winner, Khan(pretty sure he'll get by Collazo), Pacquiao(if it ever happens) next? I'd like to see him fight Martinez/Cotto winner.

Does Maidana have a shot? Or is this going to be a walk in the park for Money?

Floyd is going to shut him out via UD. Just like he did against Canelo and Guerrero. Maidana is too flat footed and lacks the hand speed to trouble Floyd.

I don't follow boxing all that much so thanks for reply.

Maybe one day Money will meet his match.

Or the footwork to cut the ring off.

Anyway, there's a small problem holding up the fight:
Scott Christ of Bad Left Hook wrote:Here are the bullet points:

- Maidana's team brought a pair of custom blue Everlast MX gloves that Mayweather and his team objected to quite vehemently.
- The Nevada State Athletic Commission agreed with Team Mayweather and ruled that the blue gloves were not acceptable. They did, however, approve a pair of red Everlast gloves, a stock MX model.
Mayweather's team also rejected the red gloves. They offered to have Maidana wear the same gloves that Mayweather will wear, which are his usual Grant gloves, which Mayweather wears due to a history of hand injuries.
- Maidana's team, notably trainer Robert Garcia, flat-out refused the Grant gloves. And as far as I know, we're still deadlocked.

So there are two key things to keep in mind here, and I know I keep harping on these points, but this is all clear as day and there's just no interpretation otherwise:

- The blue gloves are not in the question anymore. That has been agreed upon by Mayweather's team objecting and the Nevada commission ruling them ineligible for the fight.
- The Nevada commission says the red Everlast gloves are fine, and Mayweather's team is still objecting.

Now as for Team Maidana, Garcia says that Mayweather's team also rejected using a pair of Reyes gloves. It's clear that they are trying to force Maidana into using the Grant gloves.

Would anyone throw away a theory that says this is a huge endorsement for Grant gloves and/or label this as an attempt to market the fight as a dangerous opponent for Mayweather?

Well I'd never heard of Grant gloves before and now I have, so I guess the plan worked

I could have sworn I had read somewhere that Khan believed the Holy month of Ramadan would prevent a September fight with Mayweather even if he beats Collazo.

I'm thinking Mayweather's next fight will be against Danny Garcia, the winner of Martinez vs. Cotto, or Keith Thurman in that order.

Mayweather by shutout UD, the Maidana/Broner fight said a lot more about Broner than it did Maidana even if that win is what drove this fight to happen. I will say given the 2 options(Khan, Maidana), I do think Maidana was the better choice.

I'd have to edge Khan over Collazo even with the iffy chin. Collazo hasn't fought a quality opponent since Andre Berto in early 09 which means I don't count the early KO of Ortiz as much of a factor at all. I think he overpowered a guy whose heart really ain't in it and has the look of some damaged goods. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Khan ends up getting KO'd though.

The other 2 fights...meh. I'm sure Broner should win and look good, and I don't think highly of Love at all, I thought he lost to Rosado.

I have no respect for Broner... He is one arrogant, ignorant, douche.

It's ok for broner to be racist but when a white man says racist things the whole world talks about it.

It'll be midnight(east coast) before this Mayweather fight starts. 11:00 now, and Khan/Collazo just walking into the ring.

Bieber walking to the ring with Lil Wayne and Floyd, I wish Floyd would turn around and knock out Bieber.

Maidana is really making it an ugly fight. Thus far really seems to have Floyd out of his element.

So I'm not a boxing expert but this seems fairly one sided so far. I'm guessing Maidana will get tired at some point but he's aggressive as all hell.
