Well that settles it I guess.

Now, does Cormier take a stay busy fight? Does he stay on call in case someone has to pull out of this one?

I'd like to see Cormier vs Rashad or Glover, in the mean time.

Rashad would make sense since they had that fight set up before, and he could presumably fight the Jones/Gus winner with a win.

Glover has to go to the back of the line though. Fight someone coming off a loss, and get his 2-3 wins before getting back into title contention. Maybe start with Phil Davis or Jimi Manuwa. Or Shogun, I guess.

Yeah that makes sense.

I think Jones easily pervailed in the rematch, maybe even with stoppage victory. After that he will fight Cormier... I think he wouldnt able to finish Cormier, but will win by strong desicion. So, if he would do so... Gus-Glover-Gus-DC streak would be single greatest in history IMO.

I don't even think it would be Jones' greatest streak.

Rashard would be the best match-up at this point. He was ranked #2 prior to the Cormier-Henderson fight but DC should beat him pretty easily. It's a low-risk fight that keeps DCin the running after Jones disposes of Gustaffson for good.

He's going to have knee surgery, it's possible he might not even be ready if Jones makes a relatively quick turn around.

Who wins, Dan Cormier the day after knee surgery, or Patrick Cummins?

I'm thinking tickets come out mid to late July like last year. I definitely plan on being there again.

Guys, in all likelihood the fight will be moved to Vegas. Montreal's scheduled December PPV is being moved to March. Right now-UFC 178 is between Vegas and Toronto, and all indications are that Toronto's PPV will be scrapped for September. I am hoping not, since i enjoyed watching every PPV in Toronto since 2011.

Cruz will be returning to fight Mizugaki on this card.

Good matchup. Either one could credibly fight for the title with a win.

You are correct, all upcoming Canadian events are scrapped. Haven't heard about the rumoured Halifax card, but I strongly, strongly doubt it now.

The most recent UFC in Vancouver might not have cracked 100K buys. The GSP/Shields gate was $12M, but Toronto show gates have since dropped to about $3M (mind you, this is the ACC vs. Skydome, but the ACC events aren't selling out). Rory alone can't sell a Montreal fight. So there you go.

Hopefully they bring fights back to where they belong. AMERICA. :usa:

Haha, for sure.

But seriously, they can get a $12M gate again at the Skydome... they just need to stack the card. Couture/Machida was the third fight.

Yeah, I'm definitely watching this event. As a guy recovering from an ACL and MCL tear, whose favorite player is Derrick Rose, who talked with Dominick Cruz and thought he was a nice guy, I will be rooting for Cruz to come back strong.

Nothing would make me happier than if old Dom came back and rendered these TJ/Barao arguments pointless and smashed another member of team alpha male in the process. :D

Yeah, I was never the biggest Dom fan and I was hoping that Torres would beat him with his reach and leg-kicks after his number one contender bout with Mighty Mouse. I'm biased, but I scored the fight for Torres. Man, it's such a shame how downhill his career went after that fight.

Now Dom is one of my favorite fighters. It's funny how things work out that way.
