Duke Roufus was on Rogan last week talking about the tourney. He talks about a couple fighters individually early in the podcast and then more precisely about the tourney at like 1:20 in.

Enjoyable podcast for me as a fight fan. I'm sure it would have been even a lot better if I were more familiar with the kickboxers and fights being referenced.

It's been OK so far, one fight short of the tourney's first round finishing. A very memorable KO in one of the first round fights. Yikes.

Prelims:
The FW fighters were pretty poor. A lot of terrible boxing.

Ristie is so sloppy, I don't care to watch him fight...even if he wins a lot.

Fights 2 and 3 of the first round were excellent, super entertaining...come to think of it.

God damn, I wonder if they're going to have four able-bodied fighters left for the second round. That hematoma can't be allowed, can it?

I loved that Verlinden guys fight against Manhoef. He looked the best in the first round. Boxing slip + counter head kick KD? Amazing. I've never seen a slip/counter that smooth.

Good win for Mirko. I'll try to catch a replay of the card.

Holy wow, what an event! The tournament was just awesome to watch. What a test of endurance. I had to watch the pair of events spread over three days of viewing, and I still feel the exhaustion. Schilling's especially, given teh competiveness of his bouts and that extra round.

Surprised a one-day tournament is possible.

So they had Big John reffing, is it common for refs to do more than one combat sport?

Reporter asked someone what was the difference between boxing and kickboxing. My response, even though I wasn't asked, "the kicking".
