This event is this weekend. Feel the excitement.

Changes:
Efrain Escudero vs. Leonardo Santos
Wendell Oliveira vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio
Jessica Andrade vs. Larissa Moreira Pacheco
Leandro Silva vs. Francisco Trinaldo

I'm somewhat interested in the main event, mostly because I can't quite give up on the idea that Arlovski is good, and can't quite buy in on the idea that Bigfoot is good.

Bedford vs. Yahya seems like too good of a fight to be in that spot, but I also have a feeling if I look it up, they will be a combined 1-7 in their last 8 fights or something.

A lot of these guys have names that make them sound like they should be good. I have no idea who Leonardo Santos is, but the guy I picture when I see that name is a badass. Is that racist? Do I have to sell my NBA team?

Ironic since Bigfoot beat up Arlovski already didn't he?

Anyway what's the deal with Bigfoot? I don't understand how the dude is going to piss clean. If he goes in there tonight and isn't lactating, I'm going to assume he's on something whether he gets popped or not.

Well there's this article: TRT ban forces UFC headliner 'Bigfoot' Silva into surgery

Dude has to have brain surgery due to the trt ban. Sucks for him that he gets screwed because of cheaters like Sonnen and Vitor who ruined it for everyone.

Then I see the ufc just put up the highlight of him trying to get at a KOed Overeem and I'm like meh...screw 'em lol.

Anyway, if you can't be a fighter without getting your hormones elsewhere, just don't be a fighter I guess.

Just browsing these results, when is the last time that Paulo Thiago won a fight, seriously? This is a dude that LEGIT lost to Diego Sanchez, yikes.

Almost becoming a Sakara situation.

I skimmed through this event.

Glad to see Arlovski get the win, to back up my irrational belief that he's better than Big Foot. I'm stupid/stubborn about some of these. I'd still take Overeem over Rothwell every time, for example.

I was actually thinking early on that Big Foot would hit him with one of those lunch boxes and that would be all she wrote. That got me thinking that Arlovski vs. Overeem would make sense and kind of be a cool fight for a Fight Pass show in Europe. In the HW division, I don't even know how much wins matter. If they set up that fight I'd be cool with it.

A few takeaways from this event, all pertaining to the main event:

- Arlovski should probably be the comeback fighter of the year unless maybe Karo wins a couple more.
- Big Foot made his name off an injured Browne.....
- Rumble might be able to win a title in 4 divisions at this point, provided his kidneys didn't fail

Is it a Sakara situation, or is it more like the situation of a guy who in large part made his name off Sakara, in Houston Alexander. Thiago doesn't fit the physical profile, but he fits the career one since he primarily built his rep off one punch against Kos. He backed it up a bit with another solid win, but so did Alexander and Sokoudjou. He had a good early run due to confidence and luck, until those things ran out and he got exposed over time.

WIth Sakara it was more his chin turning to mush. You could breath on him and he would pass out. But along the way he put together a good performance here and there.

I just meant it in terms of dudes not being cut by the ufc despite losing so many fights in a row.

Royce Gracie vs Yahya in a kickboxing match, who wins?

In MMA? Best Royce, time machine.

Since he won, maybe the Hunt/Nelson winner? Man HW is weak. Maybe it's a good thing Cain can only fight once a year.

I see. I never associated Sakara with that. To me Leonard Garcia is the poster child for that, along with many other things, i.e.: lucky decisions, sloppy brawls, etc. He's contributed a lot to MMA. He's on the bizarro Mount Rushmore with Harold Howard, Tank Abbott, and Joe Son.

I didn't watch this, but I read on the underground that Arlovski was yelling "f*ck you!!!" at the ridiculous brazilian crowd after knocking out bigfoot.

That's awesome.

Oh yea Garcia is the posterboy. Although tbh between Diego and Clay and Garcia, you almost wonder if its a Jackson's thing somehow.

Anyway, perusing their records...Paulo Thiago is much worse than Sakara. I think Sakara's was just more blatant because he didn't fight very often so there was one point when he fought late 2013 when he hadn't had a win in the ufc since early 2010 (four fight losing streak).

Paulo Thiago loses 3, wins 1, loses 3, wins 1. I think its time for that dude to be put out to pasture. Does he even bang with bros? I wonder what their deal is with him?
