I'm going to be 6th row for this one.
Anyone know what the seats are like? Is it tough to see the fights or what?

Too much of a step up for Tarec, almost feel like its a step back for Rory. BUT tbh anyone outside of Hendricks/Lawler/Lombard would be, so I guess theres not much to be done.

Hopefully Assuncao dusts Caraway and gets the title shot that he already deserved (imo).

Nice. I'm glad you guys got this show, because it looked like they were gonna screw us for a while.

Enjoy it for now because there is a possibility that they make Rory fight Hendricks in AMERICA. You guys will get a lot of events when Rory becomes the title holder though.

Full card

MAIN CARD
FOX Sports 1, 10 p.m. ET
Rory MacDonald vs. Tarec Saffiedine
Raphael Assuncao vs. Bryan Caraway
Yosdenis Cedeno vs. Chad Laprise
Bruno Santos vs. Elias Theodorou
Li Jingliang vs. Nordine Taleb
Mitch Gagnon vs. Roman Salazar

PRELIMINARY CARD
FOX Sports 2, 8 p.m. ET
Daron Cruickshank vs. Anthony Njokuani
Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Jake Lindsey
Paul Felder vs. Jason Saggo
Patrick Holohan vs. Chris Kelades

PRELIMINARY CARD
UFC Fight Pass, 7 p.m. ET
Matt Dwyer vs. Albert Tumenov
Pedro Munhoz vs. Jerrod Sanders

This is one of those double header weekends, with Gunnar Nelson vs. Rick Story headlining the other event in...Sweden? Not sure if there's even a thread.

Lots of the Canadian guys from the TUF Nations season, which probably makes the card look better than it is (and it still doesn't look very good), just because I recognize some of the names.

Nova Scotia!?

Some good fights. Laprise has real potential, IMO. The muscled, bearded guy from that season had awesome movement too but wasn't well-rounded yet IIRC.

Let's go, Bruno Santos.

Love to watch Cruickshank.

I'm going to this one tomorrow.
Can't say the overall card is very exciting, I'm mostly paying to have the experience, and see Rory fight.
I just hope it turns into one of those cards that appears underwhelming but has good fights throughout.

I also hope I'm not seating beside a giant meathead.

Never hopped off the Tumenov bandwagon. Not that he proved a whole lot in beating guys like Lapsley and Dwyer. But those fights displayed his sick tech and killer instinct. Good punch feint setup on the kick that hurt Dwyer. Then he swarmed and timed another vicious kick while his opponent was hanging his head down to the right. You don't see kicks at the end of flurries a lot. It helps to stay open-minded and use all your tools, as he did. It was a wrap after that 2nd kick.

Let's see him vs. a top 50 (at least) worldwide ww next. Maybe he could force Ebersole into retirement where he belongs.

Cruickshank! Isnt this a karate guy? Shades of Matt Hughes. Pick-up, run him across the ring, and dump him. Some great ground and pound too. Not to mention a super developed stand-up.

that lead leg still sits there. Leg-kick tempt.

Yea he's a karate guy but iirc he actually wrestled in college. Good overall pedigree.

Not sure if it was shown on tv but Nordine hurt his leg in the first round.
At the end of the fight he couldn't walk on it and had two corner guys help him out of the ring and to the back. Would explain his fight/lack there of.

Nice to see a decisive finish from Rory. Up to that point it was very much a business as usual kinda affair.

I'd like to see Faber/Assuncao 2, Faber beat him in the WEC. Winner fights Dillashaw/Cruz winner? :dontknow:

Up next for Rory, should be Hendricks/Lawler winner.

I think Assuncao should get the next shot outright (I mean after Cruz), but it's hard to say without knowing when that fight will be.

I'd try to just keep Faber busy with guys who have already challenged for the title or who aren't going to challenge for it. He'd wreck Assuncao, which may be fine, since he can actually get into a title shot with Cruz or Dillashaw and have it draw, but I just wouldn't do it because it's not like he needs to beat Assuncao to be credible.

Rory will probably get the next shot. Lombard has a fight, and there's no real need for them to fight each other as it is. Rory already took Woodley out of immediate contention, there's no point in eliminating either him or Lombard from the picture.
