UFC, imo, continues to play with fire with this Struve thing. Overeem's hands looked good imo in the Rothwell fight, Ben's chin is just very strong.

Nah, if they are trying to make JDS/Stipe I'm guessing that would be main event.

Ah, right, missed that part.

Stipe would get a shot if he wins, but unless JDS is completely shopworn at this point (a distinct possibility), I think JDS takes that.

If JDS and Overeem both win, I'd like to see them put that fight together. Neither one of them should be fighting for the title any time soon, and that's a matchup I've always wanted to see. Arlovski vs. either one to a lesser extent.

I'd prefer they make JDS vs. Overeem for Dec. 13th.

That's the dream fight that fans want to see, and even though the fight doesn't make sense for rankings, this is the HW division. We don't want JDS to destroy all the winning fighters just so that way he can fight Cain for the 4th time.

IDK I just don't really agree with you guys, now that everyone in the division has KOed Overeem, I'm much less interested in seeing how long it would take JDS to do it.

I'm interested in it because Overeem was winning all of those fights before getting KO'd. He would probably suffer the same fate against JDS, but would he be able to win minutes or rounds up until that point?

Like I've said before, if he was fighting Rothwell or Big Foot tomorrow, I'm picking him. If he fought Browne again, I might even pick him to win that. I feel like so much crazy stuff can happen at HW that I'm just going to pick the more skilled fighter and roll with it.

I don't disagree with you, I was actually hoping to bet Reem in his next bout because he'd be underrated.

But between Struve's leaky heart, busted chin, rocked brain, broken jaw, long layoff and fainting spells....I think its safe to say Overeem will be a favorite.

Interesting tidbit Rogan dropped on his podcast...said JDS was requesting that this fight vs Stipe be 3 rounds instead of 5.

Overeem vs. Dos Santos would be mint. I don't see JDS dropping that but I'd like to see it regardless.

I was pretty bummed when the matchup fell apart the first time around.

3 of these 4 men have had major damage inflicted. Between them, how many times have Overeem and Struve had their lights shut off in actual bouts (not to mention training and whatnot)? 15? 18? All the damage is exponentially more harmful from here on out.

I don't want to see them fight each other or anyone. Neither is very good at fighting either.

I think Rogan theorized or implied he knew that JDS did not want the physical toll of 5 rounds after the Cain beatings.

Fighters don't get paid more for 5 rounds. I don't believe the contracts stipulate anything. For a while they didn't anyways. But the damage is considerably more. Dropping rounds 13, 14, and 15 was seen as a major step in the health of fighters in boxing, for example. Your brain is swole and the cushioning between your skull & brain compromised later in fights.

Looks like Nate is indeed a "needle mover". At least in order to get him back, Dana gave him a fight that is prooooobably above his place in the division at the moment. RDA has been on a roll and Nate has lost 2 of 3.
