Zingano has nothing for Rousey. Maybe no 135 woman does.
And if Belfort if really off everything, I don't see him being that competitive either.
Though I'm not trying to criticize the event.

As Mehar said in the other thread, Ronaldo Souza vs. Yoel Romero added. And apparently Mir vs. Bigfoot was earlier. Pretty stacked card, so far...

Vitor passed a random drug test within the last week or two.
In other news, I just bet my life savings on Weidman.

Re: UFC 184 (2/28): Weidman vs. Belfort, Rousey vs. Zingano
Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson vs. Yancy Medeiros was just added to the card. That is a stellar fight on a paper. Both guys fight very aggressively, in a way they try to do damage against their opponent, and they are very well-rounded.
I actually like Medeiros in this one. He stops the ascent of El Cucuy I say and starts one of his own. He's got that Diaz swag rubbing off on him, but he's harder to take down than them, has some good sub options off shooters, and on the feet has good power and timing. I thought Medeiros looked brilliant his last couple times out, finishing a decent lw in Proctor, and great prospect in Damon Jackson. While El Cucuy had major troubles against the overrated Trujillo before coming back to win. Medeiros did better against their common opponent in Yves. Ferguson arguably lost, Medeiros ko'ed him. I think Medeiros nullifies the reach, and hits El Cucuy hard, then slaps on a sub. Or we see a war where El Cucuy is more often 2nd best.

Some good stuff on here. Looking forward to seeing Holly Holm; I wonder if that fight will be on PPV.
Ferguson/Medeiros is a good one as mentioned.
Kid Yamamoto sneaking into the prelims there.
Ellenberger vs. Koscheck is kinda bleh. Give me that fight 3-5 years ago.

I need to watch more Medeiros fights, because I haven't watched alot. I just looked at his fight finder when the fight was announced and thought to myself "Ferguson is going to sub this dude".

Kos is back? Wow. I thought he retired. I have to think this is his last fight if he loses though.
Kinda sucks, he was a guy I was always interested in seeing fight.

Whoa, I had no idea Romero was fighting Jacare. Excited to see Holm fight as well. This is a pretty damn exciting card.

Souza/Romero taken off card due to Souza's pneumonia, supposed to be rescheduled. Ferguson vs. Medeiros promoted to main card.

Take this with the appropriate amount of salt, but there is a very strong rumor that Weidman/Vitor is off.
outsidehammer, a guy from sherdog, posted it. He also broke the CM Punk news on sherdog before it were made public. Honestly there has been more stuff that he broke but IDK what off the top of my head.
Hope he is wrong this time.

Re: UFC 184 (2/28): Weidman vs. Belfort, Rousey vs. Zingano
No, he was right again. It was confirmed by MMAJunkie. Now THAT'S a champion who has a lot of fight delaying injuries. It's a shame because he was on a great ascent, and those injuries will slow it, if not prevent it altogether.
Incidentally, that outsidehammer guy claimed TRT Freetor is also injured. Hopefully that's not true, because otherwise maybe they could have done something like put him in there against Romero, who lost his opponent from the same card. It needs a real co-main at least now. UFC has to scramble and not settle. Cowboy is available we know.

Ugh. Whenever I see an event thread at the top of the page with a few weeks to go, I get this overwhelming feeling of dread.
Vitor vs. Romero would be one way to salvage this card. Make it for an interim title even.

Cowboy vs Romero to save the card!
(also, enjoyed TRT Freetor).
