McCall/Lineker is the only fight worth a **** on here.

Half of the guys here sound like the names you get when you choose "Auto-generate Rookies" in Madden/NBA2k. Rodolfo Rubio? Colby Covington? These can't be real people.

To reinforce your point, I counted a few days ago, and 6 of 10 fighters on the main card didn't even have a Wiki page (some have been created since). 9 of 12 on the prelims. Fighters have to make their debuts and names at some point, but it shouldn't be all together on the same card. They should be building their names thru fighters we already know, who drew us to the card initially. Then if they win, they can draw us to the card next time. That's how it should typically work. It'd be a moot point if the UFC kept delivering in spite of featuring so many no names these days. But we know that's not true and it would be virtually impossible with all the quantity they have.

Why is Shogun, along with members of other forums, talking about how OSP is going to try to "lay-n-pray" in this fight? OSP has finished 3 of his 4 ufc wins, people must be confused and associate him with that because he got LNPed so hard by Bader in his last fight.

Maybe he will go for takedowns, but that doesn't mean LNP. Shogun was submitted by Chael so its not like he can't be tapped.

Wait did I really just read on the UG that Lineker missed weight again? LMFAO.

I guess he has time to lose .7 lbs, so I'm assuming he makes it in the end, but is this the record for most missed weights? Wow, I doubt they give that dude a title shot regardless of this fight outcome.

I guess McCall made him weight like a minute to stare down as he sat and drank whatever he was drinking right in front of him.

That is so amazing.

One funny thing that the guys on the mmabeat (can you tell I enjoy that show?) were talking about in reference to Bisping/Rockhold/Weidman trashing Vitor at that presser...these fighters act differently without Dana around (when the cat is away...). Between things like that, the Jones/Dc brawl, etc.

I doubt Ian would have done that had Dana been sitting there staring daggers at him the whole time.

Shogun and his fans trying to dissuade OSP from trying it because they know he can't stop a takedown anymore?

I'm happy you got your wish about Lineker missing weight again for comedic purposes, while at the same time he eventually made it and the fight will go on.

I'd be interested to see all these massive weight cutters like Tibau, Lineker, etc. at a weight class higher. They obviously feel like they are gaining a competitive advantage by it, but so did Rumble.

Actually dude this is worst case scenario. Him missing weight would have been the lozlers at least. But now he made it so its not as funny, and even if he smashes McCall I doubt he gets the title shot. Too risky, plus he'd actually have to weigh in at 125 even, right? No way they build a ppv around that. So basically, no lolzers and a 50% chance no interesting flyweight title fight. Go McCall I guess.

Dana tweeted that McCall may not fight tomorrow night because he is sick.

That would make him look like such a ******* idiot.

Shogun has lost 3 out of his last 4 fights, and 4 out of his last 6. If he loses tomorrow, i think the UFC should tell him to either have one last retirement fight or move to 185. I do not know if others would agree with that, but tomorrow is a critical fight for Shogun in his attempt to stay relevant at 205.

They already announced he is coaching tuf so it seems like he'll be around regardless.

That is true. I am just saying if he loses tomorrow, the UFC should tell him to move to 185 or even have one retirement fight after TUF. I will wait to see how he does tomorrow before writing him off though.

Could be, man. He's just so slow and honestly 185 is probably better than 205 at this point.

Maybe he looks great tomorrow, who knows.

I met him in person in Toronto at an autograph signing, and no way the dude is 6 foot 1. I say he is max around 5 foot 11.5 inches tall. I felt for the past two years, that Shogun should move to 185 pounds. I think it would be a good move for his career, because he is not a very big LHW, and could potentially make the cut down to re-energize his career. However- i do not want to proclaim his LHW career dead just yet. Will wait to see how he does against OSP. Maybe he proves me wrong and looks real good tomorrow. Will wait and see.

McCall officially out. Wow he looks like a dumb@ss imo. Showing him up at the weigh-ins, sooo much smack talk about how he is going to spank Lineker, etc. and Lineker shows and he doesn't.

New card: I only know the two guys in the main event and one other guy on the card, and the only reason I know the other guy is because of his brother.

Ovince Saint Preux VS Mauricio “Shogun” Rua
Alan Jouban VS Warlley Alves
Leon Edwards VS Claudio Silva
Jorge de Oliveira VS Dhiego Lima
Nina Ansaroff VS Juliana Lima

Yought to know Alan Jouban, he looked fantastic against Baczinski. And the Fox team were high on his opponent.

I'm really not interested in OSP.

The guy talked more smack than I've ever heard anyone not named Chael talk, he had the weigh-in display that he did. He went and started posting about the weigh-in shenanigans on both the UG and sherdog like 2 hours before he is suddenly too sick to fight. Just a weird situation, Chael P Sonnen would be fighting tonight for sure!
