I'm an optimist but that is a good explanation. It's Brazil, not surprised supplements might be tainted. Wonder if there's record of that phone call.

Gleison Tibau 'provisionally suspended' after potential USADA violation

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has notified both Gleison Tibau and UFC that he has been provisionally suspended due to a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition test.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Gleison Tibau. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time in the process.

Tibau, 32, has fought in the UFC a remarkable 26 times since making his Octagon debut in 2006, compiling a 17-9 record and defeating the likes of Caol Uno, Jeremy Stephens, and Rafael dos Anjos, among others. He currently owns the most wins in the promotion's lightweight history.

Although he has historically been one of the largest lightweights on the roster throughout his run, Tibau has never before failed a pre- or post-fight drug test under the UFC umbrella.

This new protocol, man. Eff all those cynics who had said that users would always find a way. Nope. There is a limit to how far ahead you can stay. ATT is finding that out.

UFC's Abdul-Kerim Edilov potentially in violation of anti-doping policy

Abdul-Kerim Edilov is facing a suspension before ever having made his UFC debut.

Edilov potentially committed a violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy run by USADA, the UFC announced in a release Tuesday. The possible violation stems from an out-of-competition sample collection.

The drug testing was announced a long while ago, are these fighters getting caught trying to find a way to game the system still?

Didn't see this coming.

Yoel Romero gets six-month suspension from USADA for failing drug test due to contaminated supplement

Much less than the 2 years he was facing. He can fight in June.

In December, Romero tested positive for a substance called Ibutamoren, a growth hormone secretagogue. The National Center for Biotechnology Information describes the substance, which is prohibited under the UFC's anti-doping policy, as stimulating growth hormone release "through a pituitary and hypothalamic receptor."

Romero, 38, denied knowingly taking the substance and has claimed all along that it came from a contaminated substance. USADA said in its release that it had Romero's supplement tested and Ibutamoren did indeed come up, even though that banned substance was not listed on the label.

I'll never believe a tainted supplement is the only thing he's on.

When the banned substance isn't labelled, it is understandably difficult, especially when most people don't have the resources to test every supplement they put in their body.

Donald Rumsfeld wrote:Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.

That said, it is athletes responsibility for everything they put in their body. And I don't believe it's the only thing he's on.

A lot of supplements are tainted, and muscle gain products are one of the worst. Instead of the Reebok **** the UFC should have partnered with someone and made approved supplements.

Frank Mir flagged for 'potential' USADA violation

UFC announced Friday that two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir has been flagged for a "potential Anti-Doping Policy violation" stemming from an in-competition drug test collected by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) on the date of his recent bout at UFC Fight Night 85.

My guess is that he ate an entire person who was on PEDs and through that, he absorbed them into his system.

Don't be dumb. He's [required to be] a massive man who spends 15 hours a week of his gym time doing aerobic or technical work. He needs to make the most of the weight room.

My point is the irony of being popped after looking the fattest and slowest he's ever looked.

He needs to hit up one of them south floridian "anti-aging" clinics that att and blackzilians frequent.

Not really new news, but Faber basically called out TJ for using PEDs in the past, and with his linkage to him that's a pretty heavy accusation.
If true, I really doubt TJ wants to Faber lol. The Pre-scrum media events would lead to too much doping accusations for his liking.
