I like the main event, good fight for both guys. Silva/Story will also be good, and I think Cote will finish Burkman.

Story is out, Magny steps in vs Silva. Magny is a warrior for doing that.

Yeah, I'm a fan of Magny, but once again I'm not confident that he'll do well in this fight.

I had no idea who Laprise was but he was a huge favorite and just got smashed with the quickness by that angry old brazilian man.

Silva looks a little doughy to me. Hurt? Or body changing because of new policies?
Watching Magny take the back and show good takedowns and top game just makes me appreciate all the more what an effing wizard Demian Maia is on the mat.

Magny is a super likable guy. Also obviously has balls, said he had a four day camp vs Erick Silva.

Most anti-climatic main event ever.

People on forums/twitter whining about Holloway celebrating after. Give me a break, he threw up his hands to celebrate, he hugged his wife, came back and checked on Oliveira immediately after, then embraced the opposing cornermen. He's 23 years old.

I didn't see his fight but after his last fight I said I hope I never see Stout fight again and from the sounds of it I should be glad I didn't see this one.

I feel as though that event on the whole wasn't worthwhile (though I only watched the main card, combo of what I saw there and how it looked beforehand). You Canadians deserve better.

I hate this Edgar/Holloway talk. Personally, while I loved this matchup stylistically, I hated that one of these guys had to be derailed at the expense of the other.
Oliveira is 25 and has fought: Edgar, Swanson, Cerrone, Jim Miller, Jeremy Stephens, Max Holloway, Nik Lentz(x2), plus other tough guys like Hioki/Elkins
Holloway is 23 and has fought: Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, Dennis Bermudez, Cub Swanson, Cole Miller, Charles Oliveira, and a few other tough vets.
Just don't see the benefit of throwing a guy like Holloway in the fire vs a vet like Edgar. Frankie should get a shot anyway, imo. UFC should build up their prospects more, I said it in the Holm/Rousey thread.

It was like a win, but it wasn't. So he should be considered on the same rung of the title ladder as he was beforehand.
Problem is, who else does he fight besides Edgar? He's fought plenty of the other guys. He trained extensively with Stephens. Lamas is booked.
Maybe he can fight Lentz, but the Carny is just going to try and lay on him.
He could get the victory over Bermudez he should have gotten in the first place, I suppose.

Edgar is already fighting Jeremy Stephens, so this isn't happening.

Silva may have been hurt. He didn't look close to himself last night.
