Welp, that explains the "altercation".

Doubt even Conor can save TUF.

How have other seasons of tuf done? It doesn't seem to me that star power is correlated with ratings necessarily. I know Bisping/Mayhem was a very highly rated season and those guys aren't the biggest draws. However huge draws like Brock drew terrible ratings.

Obviously that's just off the top of my head. I'm not really sure how like GSP's season did.

this doesn't make sense. how long is Jose out for? figured he'd be Conor's next fight. Also Conor doesn't seem like the "coach" type. I can't see him giving anybody any kind of direction.

i'm expecting his to preach the understanding of human movement and then tell them they'll never understand it like he does.

Haven't watch TUF in YEARS i remember when guys used to want to fight for certain coaches. For some reason i can't see anybody clamoring to be apart of Team McGregor.

Conor and Faber won't be fighting each other at the end of the season like most coaches do.

So they are coaching but not fighting? There are guys ahead of Faber, who should be next to fight McGregor.

which makes this whole thing even more of a waste of time. Don't see the point of putting McGregor out there as a coach.

I mean, if it's set to air starting in September, the good news is its not really going to hold anything up. They must be going into filming very soon.

We're not really expecting Conor vs. Aldo (or whoever) until NYE anyway, right? Don't think this changes anything.

Still kind of a dumb idea, but I guess it gets Conor more TV time, and maybe gets some ratings for TUF, so who knows. It's LW, so maybe there will be a few guys with some talent, or at least decent fights.

I hate that its already assumed that we won't get Conor/Aldo until January, actually. That's almost another seven months, if they had done the original fight in May like they should have to begin with, they may have actually been able to put it on. I wish they would do it in November or so. Put Ronda on NYE after she dispatches Bethe with ease.

If that fight isn't until then, Edgar makes the most sense to fight Conor. Mendes just lost to Conor, Lamas lost to Mendes in April and I don't believe Holloway/Oliveria winner should get it over Edgar. Would Dillashaw/Barao winner move up to fight Conor?

Edgar is absolutely next in line. But at this point we're still assuming Aldo is fighting, right?

Holloway/Oliveira winner should be the next one, but not sure either one has enough momentum/buzz.

Probably do some kind of Mendes/Lamas/Cub fight to get one of those guys back on track first.

If we actually get Conor/Aldo, then winner/Edgar, we're looking at next year anyway, so lots of time to figure it out.
