What a joke. Guy runs a light and causes a traffic wreck, injures a pregnant woman, runs back to grab cash, was obviously impaired and then didn't turn himself in for 2 days. Won't spend a minute in a jail cell even with an impaired less than 2 years from this incident.

Money and fame can get you out of anything. Its really sad.

I wonder what this guy will do next now that he's officially above the law?

God I love the apology about how he has grown as a man since then. Didn't some hooker post on instagram about her driving around in his fast car or some ish recently?

I almost like it, because its so hilarious.

The guy is an absolute train wreck. I'd lay odds 5 years from now there will be a documentary about Jones where he's answering questions wearing a jumpsuit.

You just know he's been on a 6 month coke bender since this incident knowing he doesn't have to fight. Actually him having to fight doesn't seem to matter.

I never even heard about the hooker, time for a google search.

Really upsetting.

If he had actually grown as a man, he would grasp that he's not an exception to the consequences everyone else would face. I guess that's sort of impossible in an adversarial court system where you have to ask for more than you deserve.

Still, he maybe ought to concede that he was not sober. Like, behave truthfully.

Godt, ****. It's so unjust that he's rewarded for fleeing.

I think the reason I am terrible at fighting is the same reason I would never speed through a red light. And for Jon, the inverse. The self belief beyond what could be expected. I am not an exception to fate: the probability of me getting beat up and the probability of me striking a car, I accept are real. I am not an exception destined to make it. Safety first.

He's not running red lights because he doesn't care about self preservation which would be an asset as a fighter.

He ran the red light because he was driving totally twisted...again.

I'm sure he thinks it's by the grace of God/him being the chosen one that he never goes to jail or gets seriously injured, so he can keep carrying on with the same selfish, irresponsible behaviors. Until he and/or someone else dies.

In the meantime all we can hope for is that someone like Cormier knocks his block off. Maybe that would sober him up.

With all the blow he's banging up his nose in celebration of once again getting slapped on the wrist for almost killing people he may be a middleweight when we see him again.

Other than being a great fighter he doesn't have a single redeeming quality. I can't wait until he does something else and ends up in the clink (unless that something hurts someone) I will be overjoyed when that hypocritical rat snitch menace finally gets his.

So ya I'm a hater!

I had not really considered how lame his "community service" is. 70 appearances at Bs & Gs Clubs? Kidding me?

You actually see the 600-800 hours handed down to a lot of people. And they're picking up trash or working reception or cleaning shelters. And 600 hours is not easy to accumulate. That will really bite your life for a couple years. As it should. 70 hours of him, on display, as his fraudulent persona, talking himself up as exceptional. That's the "service", in fact - that he will descend from the clouds to tell us about his change.

Given how much of a self-deception his persona is, and that this just gives him a chance to watch himself lie to people about change, in all honesty this might just be more destructive. He'll be fully intact behind the facade, still believing himself to be God's gift, but professing to be humbled and decent. As he has always done. Reinforcing the same personality that has always made him a piece of ****.

Clap clap clap.

All that judge did is tell the monster that behaving like a monster has no real consequences.

This lunatic is going to continue down this path until he seriously hurts or kills someone.

The fact that Dana was in court with him in a show of support is disgusting to me.

It's more that the punishment requires him to be a two-faced narcissist...which is how we got here.

Jones interview. I'm only half hour or so in, pretty interesting so far.

Tidbits:
1) Ariel asks what was his reaction when he found out he had crashed into a pregnant lady...it was basically like oh no my own life is over lol. So self-absorbed, its just mind-boggling, truly.

2) He said Dana and Lorenzo came right away and he was under the impression that they wanted him to go through with the Rumble fight. He said he told them he had no interest in fighting and didn't want to, and he thinks only then is when they made the decision to strip and suspend him.

3) He says something needs to be done about both the ufc and the NSAC in regards to power (read: abuse of power). The NSAC in terms of testing him for coke and releasing the results when they weren't supposed to, and the ufc for letting Vitor abuse steroids for their fight. I think he even said something along the lines of them endangering his life (or whatever his wording) by doing that.

edit: Yea this dude def does not have a good relationship with the ufc. Now he's talking about the 151 situation and how he will never forget how they dragged him in the mud for that.

That was messed up. They're promoters, but of their brand first, and of the fighters second, if at all.

All the remorse of a guy who's only sorry because he got caught, which means he isn't really sorry, and that the word he's looking for is probably "embarrassed" but not because his poor conduct bothered him personally on a human level, but because it bothered his "media partners". He will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, even with the use of a microscope, understand the disconnect between what he thinks he's sorry about and what he should actually be sorry about.
