Non-threadworthy MMA Rumors/Quotes/Tweets/Etc., Vol. 4

Post#1 » by CPT » Thu Oct 8, 2015 11:21 pm

Old thread has reached 100 pages and there doesn't seem to be anything left unresolved, so here's the new one.

Faber doesn't seem to be taking the break up as well as I thought he would.

TJ hurting his training partners has been one of the worst kept secrets in mma for years. I would be so happy to watch Dom beat the sh*t out of TJ, I really would.

"That's not a right message when you're letting him come in and spar guys when he loses self control and actually injures people sometimes"

The message is if we let you consistently injure people and lose your temper on the mat, you need to be loyal?

If he's starting a sabbatical now then what has the last year been? :)

That was him making it. Just in case you didn't know, he's made it. And they've made it and they make a lot of money and they made it.

So Nick Lentz wrote BJ a poem. (Not as romantic as that sounds). http://mmajunkie.com/2015/10/nik-lentz-writes-b-j-penn-a-poem-you-have-to-read

TJ is going to be on the MMAHour today. Interesting to hear him talk after Bang and Faber have done all of the talking thus far.

I feel like Faber was in the right...you wanna break up with us but then come back and beat up on our guys in the offseason? GTFO.

LMAO, Duane is a victim to Ariel. Everybody needs to cater to Duane.

I feel like I badly need an opinion from CBR now that Rousey/Browne is official.

Ronda is such a hypocrite. Didn't she criticize the ring girls for showing their bodies and now she shows her body as much as any other celebrity? Then she wants to pile on Floyd for domestic abuse while literally simultaneously dating a domestic abuser.

edit: Whatever, I don't want to call the guy guilty if he's not guilty, IDK the status of his situation. I know the ufc (LOL) found him not guilty. I also know the evidence of his ex posting pictures of herself all jacked up saying he beat her is pretty damning.

Let's see if Schaub holds to his "never talking about Rousey or Browne ever again" statement....which he talked about for like 30 min.

100% Duane Bang is on some cult sh*t. Seems like every other "traditional martial arts" guy is tbh, its a fascinating epidemic. He said something to Ariel along the lines of "From day 1 when I started training him I told him that we (Duane and TJ) were meant to train together".

100% on the cult tip there. In 20 years when nobody remembers Duane, you will be able to look him up and he will be going by "Grandmaster Sensei Duane Ludwig" and his students will say his art is too deadly for the cage.

^^ This has already started by the way. He is already talking about how there are a lot of ufc fighters who are not "true martial artists". He's telling his students the same stuff while telling them that he is a true martial artist and is the only one who can show them how to be that too.

Sage on mmahour is hilarious. "Mr. Dean decided to stop the fight and he is one of the best." Lol!

Hope they bring this kid along slowly. He's 19 years old and has 6 total fights. Seriously spend a few years giving him guys I've never heard of, don't go the route like feeding 20 year old Holloway to Bermudez or whatever. I've already seen people criticize his first opponent for being a cupcake...the dude he fought was 12-1 with a ufc win! I honestly probably wouldn't even have made that fight if I was the promoter tbh.

All this goes for Yair as well btw.
