Jones vs DC 2 - chances of winning?

Who will likely win and why? Give the reasons, please.

Jones walks over Cormier in another dominant UD

I think Jones wins via TKO (strikes). He might go down as the GOAT and I think he's motivated now more than ever to do so.

Jones has to be favorite, but him coming off his break is a question mark. Even if he's more dedicated who's to say he'll channel that in a way that will actually help him? And D.C. was really competitive for 3 rounds and is coming off beating Gus at least in part due to cardio. So wouldn't count D.C. out.

Jones hasn't even had a long break by champion standards really. He'll Be fine.. I know we haven't seen rematches yet, but I think Jones and his camp will be even better against opponents he's already faced, and he looks more motivated than he ever has been.

He's actually posting squatting and deadlifting videos on his Instagram. If he's building his lower body now, he must be thinking about HW in the near future. I think he'll have a couple more fights at LHW before making the move. There's really nothing left for him to prove. I wouldn't mind Weidman bulking up to face him in a superfight before he transitions to HW.

I was the dude riding the Cormier bandwagon to the first fight, but not anymore vs Bones. While Bones has been recovering, DC got thrown across the ring by a Rumble punch and was in a 25 minute war with Gus. By the way, he'll be 37 years old by the time they fight again.

I've said it before, but I really wish Jones took this opportunity to move up to HW without messing up the LHW division.

I was stoked for the first fight, and saw it as being closer than most people did, but I don't particularly need to see it again.

I think Jones may have returned to HW if not for the bad blood with DC.

I don't know, I think he should get his belt back first. HW would benefit from him moving up obviously, but LHW is much better.

What I think will happened, assuming he keeps winning is, after beating D.C, he does the fight that was suppossed to happen, Rumble (assuming he beats Bader), then they'll do the rematch with Gus after Gus beats say Rashad Evans and uh, Corey Anderson. That's 3 potential marketable fights for Jones at LHW.

I wouldn't judge anything based on what workout videos get posted.

Would be a year and a half if they wait for UFC 200, which I'd say is definitely more than ideal.

That's certainly a worry, he's due for an athleticism drop any second now. Though he's a young 37 by MMA standards (did't take much damage his first 15 fights) I also suppose it's not a good thing he's been dropped his last two fights.

The fact that's he's focusing on lower body workouts alone says something. Your lower body has some of the biggest muscles in your body, he'll put on weight by default.

We know a video was posted, we don't know he's actually focusing on that.

He's posted at least 5 recently and they were pretty much all lower body exercises like squats and deadlifts. There's no way he incorporated those in his training before with the toothpicks he calls legs.

Jones posted a little before and after pic on social media today. He said he has been powerlifting since earlier this year.

It'll be interesting to see what he looks like when he weighs in.

I was about to post that pic of Jones ripped up. I don't think he can make 205 without dropping muscle.

Dude was walking around at 230 before this increase in muscle. I wonder what he's weighing in at now.

A lot of people didn't think DC could beat Rumble - or should I say "thought Rumble would annihilate DC." But DC crushed Johnson. He beat him up and then chocked him out. I know Jones is a great great fighter, but you give a guy like DC a second shot against him, I think the result could be different. Also, I think Jones looks too pumped up in that photo. Looks more like a bodybuilder than a fighter. Maybe he's moving up to HW.
