So somehow Edgar is fighting Mendes for the TUF: Faber vs. McGregor.

Other fights are:

Edson Barboza vs. Tony Ferguson
Joe Lauzon vs. Evan Dunham
Ryan LaFlare vs. Mike Pierce

I haven't watched TUF at all this year, but this looks entertaining for a free card.

That is a hell of a free card main event. This is a fight hardcore fans have wanted to see for years.

I actually liked TUF this season. I find Faber just an honest, down to earth guy. I love rooting for him.
Connor, despite the acting, is also at the root a pretty funny, thoughtful guy. They had mostly good ribbing and chemistry together, but the did have a few moments of genuine friction.

TJ was there for a couple episodes and there was minimal bickering between he and Connor, it focused more on the rift between TJ and Faber, which makes you think that that's the fight they are angling for after TJ has his next fight.

You could tell that Uriah and Connor got along and most of their "drama" was trumped up for TV.

I skimmed through most of the season, but I appreciated Connor more by the end of it. Still hoping Aldo knocks his block off.

I don't have much to say about the fighters. Didn't really watch the fights. I didn't like the new stipulation that the least entertaining fighter would lose his spot in the quarterfinals, though. That's some hardcore "Just Bleed!" even from Dana.

There is no one of note in this group of fighters. A couple guys may stick around for a bit, but no one who will make a dent.

Is that true? That's more wwe than the cm punk signing.

Yup. He still got to fight because of an injury, though. And (--spoiler--) he kind of lost in embarrassing fashion. But still, that's lame.

It's even worse when you consider that 2 guys who lost the entry fight got allowed into the house - and one made it largely because he was one of Conor's training buddies.

They need to have the commission judges determine entertainment factor too for impartiality, otherwise THEN it's a farce. :tooth

The fights this season weren't that great. Ryan Hall I thought was interesting at least because he is extremely high level in one area. Problem is he has zero muscle, zero take downs and poor striking.

The fight where the guy who got cut for lack of entertainment value came back and stood with Connors friend, was awful. It never went to the ground, but it was like two old guys just popping each other and staggering around. Really poor performance from both, and Dana was like "Great fight, that was a war!" with that stupid giant Dana smile on his face.
Any fight that doesn't go to the ground is a winner in his book.

Dana should go back to boxercising, not much groundwork there as far as I know.

He was probably fighting 2 weight classes up also.

That's good to know. I thought his body looked super slim, he easily could fight a few weight classes less.
The guy he fought looked like a beast next to him.

Yea so this tuf was LW right? I would think Hall would be a bantamweight in the ufc. He did 145 in adcc and that's sameday weigh ins. I think most of his fights on the regional circuit have been at 145 but who knows if that's just a matter of getting opponents or maybe he's more comfortable there, not sure.

Lost in the quarterfinals (the article is wrong on that), but now he's back. Lobov is Conor's buddy that lost his entry fight, so not an inspiring TUF final.

Substitute Ryan Hall meets Artem Lobov in TUF 22 lightweight finale

Team McGregor's Saul Rogers, who appeared to have punched his ticket to the finals by taking out teammate Marcin Wrzosek late in the second round of their semifinal bout with a rear-naked choke, had trouble getting back into the country from Great Britain due to visa issues.

"Saul lied on his visa application and now has problems getting into the country and cannot fight in the Finale for The Ultimate Fighter," UFC president Dana White said. "So, Ryan Hall, who fought Rogers to a majority decision loss, will now get the opportunity."

Hall, a former World Jiu-Jitsu Championships gold medalist, dropped a tight majority decision to Rogers in the semifinals.

Didn't know Gonzaga has 7 subs by 7 different methods, impressive considering 5 of those are in the UFC.
