Thankfully I am off today & tomorrow(tues/wed) so I can catch this tomorrow night, only looks like a couple of fights worth
watching though. I will probably try multitasking to get through the bull **** in between fights.

I'll try to watch Smolka and then the main/comain.

Such a tragedy that Ferguson/Khabib has been scheduled once or twice already, and both have recently fought or are about to fight guys that I've never heard of but not each other.

Tony gets hit too much. Hell of a chin though...until it cracks. Best d'arces in the game by far.

Doesn't the ufc have Garbrandt scheduled to some silly fight coming up? They need to do Garbrandt/Lineker ASAP. That's a barn burner right there.

Ferguson dodged a bullet tonight. I'm sure that Lando guy won a ton of new fans. That was bizarre, but highly entertaining. Hate it ended that way, though. Just stuck his head right in there...

100% agreed. Him fighting Mizugaki is a waste of time.

Some fun fights tonight. Vannata is clearly UFC caliber, it should be fun to see him against a lesser fighter on a full camp. Lineker looks like a freaking dynamo at 135. Samman fought as dumb a fight as I can remember.

Up next for everyone ought to be...

Lineker vs. Bryan Caraway
McDonald vs. Raphael Assuncao
Ferguson vs. Eddie Alvarez (for LW title)
Vannata vs. James Vick
Boetsch vs. Alvey
Samman vs. Anthony Smith
Omielanczuk vs. Ngannou/Mihajlovic winner
Oleinik vs. Ngannou/Mihajlovic loser
Nakamura vs. Lyman Good
Noke vs. Luan Chagas
Smolka vs. Joseph Benavidez
Nguyen vs. John Moraga
Chookagian vs. Raquel Pennington
Murphy vs. Leslie Smith
Alvey vs. Boetsch
Spicely vs. Clark
Casey vs. Tatiana Suarez
Stanciu vs. Amanda Cooper
Holtzman vs. Joaquim Silva
Pfister vs. Ramsey Nijem
Yahya vs. Alejandro Perez
Lopez vs. Reginaldo Viera
Nicholson vs. Elvis Mutapcic
Clark vs. Spicely

Vannata is SO FUN to watch. Holy ****... such effortless striking, it looks like he's pawing with his cat and he's smacking Ferguson all over the place. Doesn't care if he gets hit, walks through ****.

Boner. I'd love to see him at 145 (or maybe that's just Ferguson being a big 155er). American Zombie.

Weird head movement too... I was expecting him to get uppercutted to death, but that's a crafty, vet submission for Ferguson and it's why he was favoured.

Damn didn't know this was last night. Saw highlights on ESPN. Right hook to the body, followed by a left hook to the chin! Boom!

God damn it, I can't stand Tony Ferguson. He is a noted jack ass, and somehow keeps surviving beatdowns with his reckless, walking forward, head straight out style, only to finish later with some front choke. This time he should have lost to the little Prince of Vanuatu.

Who thought Hands of Stone's power and overall game would play so well at the higher weight class? But he's stocky, so tough to take down. He's hard to find with how short he is and his head movement. And he likes to dart to the side and throw hooks and over-hands. His are usually hitting first, more, and harder. So he's on a nice little run here. It's not always better to be the taller man. In my couple real fights, wrestling, and play-fighting with friends, always preferred being the shorter guy (I was average height) so I could use lateral quicks, duck down, throw over-hands into a big target, and get underneath to grab a hold of people's legs. The champs right now aren't exactly giants - MM, Cruz, Conor/Aldo, Eddie, Robbie, Spitsbing, Cormer, Stipe (soon to be Sea-Level Cain).

Boetsch is no bitch, RZ. A little hespect earned, at least.

Alvey shows the exact type of fighter he's going to own. Some aggressive wrestler who he can counter, shuck off, and in this case guillotine. Spicely was holding his head out there just waiting to be guillotined a few times on the clutching at Alvey's legs. Finally he seized the opportunity. Just don't put him out there against a fighter who'll kick and move otherwise he won't be able to reach him.

I like Jasen's little "this is a thing" comment about this event in the OP. Mid-week w/ random matches after one of the biggest weekends in UFC history. Talk about an afterthought.

After the fact, I watched a few of the archived matches on MMAVersus, and tried to avoid seeing how long the fights would be as a spolie (that's tricky). Had no idea "it was a thing" until today because of this thread. Otherwise I'd have dvr'ed it, but watched it at my leisure in under a half hour, some on ff. If you want to call that watching mma, I suppose I am then. Although it's sucking me back in more so. Helps it's a dead period in sport.

Vannata is not Cruz or TJ. Hands loose/down does not about cockiness, there's a time and a range for it but don't just square up & wander forward to an opponent who is not retreating! You can walk someone down like that, but if they're not moving back, their jabs are going to murder you. And they did.

But so exciting. That duck under and out the right side will get him murdered some day.

I do not support this. Also am YouTubeing everything he has ever done.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

McDonald's hands looked terrible. Trading in the pocket, hands down?
