I'm jk btw, will probably try to catch the main event. That is a barnburner in the making, would be a great curtain jerker for a good card.

This doesn't warrant a thread. It's not even WSOF caliber. Only fight I really care about at all is the main event. Brunson is a contender and Whittaker ain't half bad. But the rest of the card is dross. I think that's the worst card they've put together in Zuffa and beyond history. Their Fight Pass cards are all better, and that sort of parallels the UFC. Just use the UFC label with some crossover. But this has less crossover than FP cards. It's just like all fringe prospects pretty much, Legacy with a UFC label.

I was in favor of a general UFC FN thread.

Brunson is literally SPRINTING at Whitaker. Started out rooting for Brunson but he is just fighting in such an idiotic manner that I wouldn't mind if he catches the KTFO that he is begging for by fighting like this. Its like Werdum running at Stipe x 100000.

edit: Aaaaand there it is.

Whittaker has come a long ways since The Smashes. Hopefully he can get a top guy next.

I was hoping Whitaker would win but it's annoying to see Brunson throw together that gameplan against a guy who's so adept at counterpunching. Brunson had such a great run and I was hoping for something a little more technical, whether it's a grind or standing up. He basically just threw caution to the win and looked for the KO.

Does anyone think Whittaker is a champion-level fighter? I'd love to see an Aussie champ

Just watched this(I was invited to a friends bday party last night so missed it live). This was decent for a free card.

Some of the fights were mildly entertaining. I've seen/watched worse....

I think on any given night Whittaker could beat any MW on the planet. That division is so wide open right now.

I'm continually shocked Dan Kelly continues to beat guys he has no business beating. I'd have given him a 0% chance to outstrike Camozzi.

Camozzi has been on a decent run and usually handles the guys he's supposed to. It has less to do with him than with Kelly just being so unathletic.

Speaking of your shi77y assessments, hey bruh all quiet on Tim Boetsch all of a sudden? Worst fighter in the UFC is putting dudes down n out. Streaking. When Pettis loses to Holloway, he'll be 6/11 in the UFC and on a 1/5 slide.

Boetsch is 11/20. Do you realize Boetch will thereby have a better winning percentage? 55% to 54%? With Rockhold, Lombard, Hendo, prime Okami, Munoz, etc. as opponents.

LOL legit a better UFC career than your boy. What that say about AP?

What a badass performance from Whittaker. Damn. So skilled, so prepared, so drilled-to-precision. Reflexes and counters were perfect. Did he hit him with a lead shovel punch counter to a right hand? LOL. Amazing. He shot that thing right under the right.

Really good strikers fall to brawlers. I remember Malaipet getting beaten in his first MMA fight by some novice who just ran after him like a spazz. Malaipet couldn't do anything but back-up.

Not Whittaker. That was some sort of high level tactic for dealing with brawlers. Whittaker didn't run, he'd angle out hard, but the throw right back. I am going to watch this again in slow mo.

If you read the UFC 200 thread you would see that I ate my crow on Boetsch and gave him props for his performance there. His boxing looked awesome.

Also, your Pettis baiting doesn't work on me. You should know that by now.

Finally, I was actually a Camozzi fan until he started complaining about how guys don't fight him, they just wrestle him - despite the fact the guys he was referring to were choking him out lolzers.
