Re: 2016 MMA Fighter of the Year (Poll)
Miocic, I suppose. That's a decent resume for FOY.
There is no real standout candidate though. Not comfortable with choosing Cody when he was on the ascent for the first time and started out with low-level guys and prospects. That's a breakout resume.
Shout to the Black Beast. He's coming for that belt Buster Douglas-style.

There really wasn't one dominate fighter this year. I almost voted for Conor even though he lost a fight in 2016.

Let's all take a second and remember how insane it was that Jon Jones beat Bader, Shogun, Rampage, and Machida all in one calendar year.

She's in the discussion for sure, but Cammo has a separate poll for the ladies.

Re: 2016 MMA Fighter of the Year (Poll)
With all the **** that happened last year, I still don't know if there's a greater indictment of the year 2016 than Stipe Miocic and Michael Bisping being ranked #1/#2 in Fighter of the Year.
Jesus.
Jesus.

Re: 2016 MMA Fighter of the Year (Poll)
Had to go with Mr. Bisping. The guy finally got to take out the former king pin in Silva - in which he rebounded from being almost KO'd. He destroyed Rockhold who at the time was looking like he might run the division for some time. Then he gets his much awaited revenge over Henderson in his first title defense in England. He has destroyed some of his credibility as of late with his nit-picking of opponents but got to give to The Count.
Bisping become world champ has been much more unlikely than Miocic winning HW, Connor winning the LW, and just above there with Cody destroying Cruz.
Cody's run has been nothing short of amazing imo, he gets revenge for his mentor Faber, all while putting on a performance nobody knew he was capable of doing. He was so calm and poised in there with the Dominator

Went with Bisping but could've gone with Stipe and maybe Cody.
A decade plus in the game and having stayed at the very top for the majority of that time and finally getting the shot at the title and to upset a legit Rockhold caps off a very impressive year for him.
