Reis couldn't possibly be a more uninteresting fighter. The guy is musclebound for 125. He got excessed from Bellator. His biggest win is...Ivan Menjivar, I guess? Bryan Carraway 8 years ago?
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

He got excised from Bellator because he lost to champions, who were bigger than him. That doesn't make you uninteresting.

His best recent win is a UD over Ortiz. Only contenders have done that.

He's pretty well-rounded, has nasty chokes, and fights to his skill-set. He's uninteresting mainly because Mighty Mouse is far ahead of everyone in that division and has been for a while. But he needs to fight somebody.

It's a pretty deep card for a ufc event these days. I really wish they'd have put an extra fight on Fox. 4 and 4 seems lean. I think in my mind I usually exclude the lady's fight, although as far as those go, Karate Hottie vs. Thug Rose is a good one. Still wish Aljamain wasn't relegated so far. Back to back sd losses. Before that he was one of the hot young things in the division.

Edit: I didn't realize he's facing Tanquinho. RZ, what does ufc have against Aljamain? I'm going to whine more for him. He gets a lose-lose fight that's unaired after coming off two tough losses to contenders one tougher than the previous. It's like they want an excuse to cut him because he's rocked the boat and makes a bit of money.

They chose to sign him when he was in fa so it doesn't seem like they'd want to cut him.

IDK I didn't see the fight.

That was before Zuffa sold to IMG. They are cut happy if you ain't a marquee fighter but are making some coin. Plus he's continued to bark since.

Sterling won a 29-28. The score was legit. Could have been 30-27. I was surprised they all gave only 2 of 3 rounds to Sterling. Sterling was on top plenty in round one and landed some gnp, had a little success in the striking, and had a couple td's. Usually that will sway at least one judge if not more. But they gave Tanquinho credit for the knockdown and making Sterling snake out of positions. As the fight wore on though, Sterling built momentum. He had the better gas tank and was moving his head a lot to be hard to hit. Very wild in the striking, but on volume, and angles, he was landing enough to be winning. Naturally he won the wrestling. And he started seeing the sub attempts coming, avoided them, kept weight on Tanquinho, and landed some gnp. Solid display by him, namely in the grappling department. His striking is still pretty raw, but it got the job done. If he ever wants to be champ, he might need to clean that up, stay poised to throw tighter shots, and actually set strikes up with feints.

Hopefully they don't cut Tanquinho. I agree, they've done him pretty dirty too. Maybe if he was eased in he'd start winning some of these fights and creating separation. But he's not the most gifted athlete to be a good striker and get in on opponent's legs quickly. That matters. Seems like a poor man's Maia.

I didn't even know there was a card tonight, but this is awesome, having the UFC and NBA playoffs on at BWW!

Whitaker is so explosive with good striking. Him vs Mousasi would be bananas. Could see him being champ someday tbh.

Not saying that was a bad stoppage (as in, it probably should have been stopped earlier) but I swear Mario only stopped it because he was in the way and touched Jacare when Jacare tried to turtle.

Lol yeah watch it again. He's fine with watching Jacare get punched 50 times in the head but when Jacare goes turtle Whitaker grabs a little waistlock and apparently that waist lock decided it for yamasaki haha.

Yamasaki is an underrated ref. As in, it's underrated how terrible he is.

What the hell was he doing at the end of that fight?

I'm not a Jacare fan but it always sucks to see a guy bet on himself and lose. Both Jacare and Mousasi are FAs now.

Stoppage timing was weird. Arguably too soon and too late. Mario was close to being in the way the whole round.

Still can't believe Whittaker's run at at MW. I mean he lost to McGee.

Jacare signed an 8-fight deal with the UFC yesterday.

Lol how awkward for Rogan to have to hype an event headlined by Attempt f*cking Lobov. I still can't get over that. And no it doesn't matter if he somehow gets lucky and wins.

Karate Hottie an example of someone pushed too hard due to being a WME client.
