Looks like a fun card to me.

That's what I thought. If Lobov said Barao instead, there may be an entirely different attitude. It's a bizarre match-up that has yet to be explained to me, but at the same time it doesn't override the undercard. I don't just watch for the main event. It'll be anticlimactic, but I should enjoy the lead-up. There's a lot of decent fighters at the ufc level on the card, entertaining enough guys, mid-weight fighters, and no ladies to break up the main card so it will feel like a fuller experience imo. And any time Platinum fights it's must see tv.

This main event slot is based entirely on his status as Conor's buddy, yeah?

Actually some interesting stuff on here, I'll probably watch, though maybe not live.

Dodson vs. Wineland sounds awesome, though I'm probably holding onto an outdated perception of Wineland. Lauzon vs. Stevie Ray could be good, but I always thought Booker T had more potential.

Wineland is like Pickett to me. I can recall some wec wins but not sure I've ever actually watched a UFC win by either guy. They must exist though.

Jesus, Jake Ellenberger's physique has changed. Dude used to be striated as heck. He barely has pecs now.

Old Jake (with the tell-tale traps):

It's not uncommon for those Gracie Academy dudes to partake in the juice.

That said, unless my internal timeline is way off, Jake's physique/performance changes took place way before USADA.

Moreno is legit. I would love to see him and Sergio fight (after he loses to Cejudo). Might not be the best idea to put two prospects against each other in a thin division, but I think that's an exciting matchup. Or maybe they give him Borg? Either way, Moreno will be fighting for a title in 2018.

The Middleweight division might have the most stacked top 5, but outside of the contenders that division sucks too. I've never found Alvey impressive, and i'm surprised he's made it this far to be ranked 13.

Shame that Lauzon completely gassed out. He had that won otherwise. Thought ray threw a lot of illegal elbows too, looked to Even be a 12-6 Elbow to the back Of the head

Maurice Smith?

He was like 4-7 when he came into the UFC...

That wasn't so bad after all....artem still has a lot of work to do, But it's going to be harder for people to hate on him now.

Right. Anyone that can hang tough with Cub deserves his spot in the UFC. It didn't look like a case of Cub just fighting down to lower competition either. I haven't been a fan of Lobov or him being in the UFC, but he got some respect from me.

And Cub should absolutely get the next title shot. He's so fun to watch.

I think it's mostly people lamenting that the current state of the UFC is that Lobov is a headliner.

Honestly I don't even know that Cub should be a headliner at this point of his career. People will disagree with that last point.
