Supposedly the first episode has been filmed. Coaches are Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje, which is a stupid waste of Gaethje if you ask me. Sounds like winner gets the first belt.

I don't think it's a mis use of Gaethje tbh. I think you need him to take time off after all the wars he has been in.

Don't get Alvarez as coach though? He should've gotten his rematch against Poirer and maybe Kevin Lee should have replaced him as coach instead.

Sweet!
I love TUFs that feature a new division, gets you to really have a good feel for who the players are in that division.
I wonder if any current females are dropping weight and entering the house?

It has begun. I think Alvarez mostly got the better of the picking, but his coaching looked bad, basically "we're not even going to spend a little time working on getting up". Doubtful it would have mattered though.

Unless its like women's 115 in which case the good fighters in the division were never in the house for whatever reason.

I do agree it makes it more interesting though. Only problem is I'm busy on Weds nights and I'm not aware of an archive feature for the fox sports app, sooo not really sure how to watch.

Probably not the best idea to watch a show centered around women fighting each other then, right?

Meh, blocked.

I get sick at the thought of women competiting at anything in general. I mean, women having the desire to compete competitively at things? Gross.

Compete at pounding each other in the face and body. No.

I cannot think of any women's competitive sport that knots my stomach the way seeing them punching each other in the face and body does. There just seems something wrong. Some wrongness about it.

How is it more wrong than men punching each other in the face?

80% sure you're being trolled.

Not in the least. Not sure why it would be construed as "trolling". There a some scant few things that make me queasy to see. ONe of them is to see women getting punched in the face and in their bodies.

Okay, but even if you feel that way, do you think posting about it in a thread following a show about wmma is the best place to have this discussion? Of course everyone watching the show / reading the thread disagrees with you.

I'm not trying to backseat mod btw, I just don't understand the logic. I'm not going to go into the boxing thread and say I find boxing stupid.

Oh sorry. Which thread should I post my thoughts and feelings on this in then?

Well a virtually unknown fighter will be holding the belt for Shevchenko.
