Bellator 192: Lima vs. MacDonald, 1/20
It's finally happening!
Card so far:
Lima vs. MacDonald for the ww world title
Rampage Jackson vs. Chael Sonnen
Michael Chandler vs. Goiti Yamauchi
Georgi Karakhanyan vs. Henry Corrales
Aaron Pico vs. Shane Kruchten
I don't think they should have trouble attracting attention for this one between the high-level title fight w/a UFC name in there, two other ufc names with a little left in the tank and who can both talk, and one of the long-time faces of Bellator in Chandler.
With a win which I have a hunch he'll achieve, Lima will finally get the respect he deserved all along, if he hasn't already from the last few wins.
Should be good fights, outside of maybe Chael-Rampage. Could see Chael just effectively grinding him after all the talk.

Pico was added, as he is to all of their biggest cards these days. He'll take on Shane Kruchten, who is 12-3, and won 12 of his last 13 fights. He's coming off a win in WSOF. So Pico's still taking the tough road.

Re: Bellator 192: Lima vs. MacDonald, 1/20
Maybe this should be titled Bellator 192: Rampage/Sonnen now.
In regards to that, I have good and bad news.
The good news is that the Lima vs. MacDonald fight is still on.
The bad news is that it meant the fight was demoted to the co-main event. lol
There are such clowns running that organization after Rebney went by the wayside. They weight a tourney prelim between two guys who are over the hill (still worth watching) over arguably their biggest title fight ever. One even includes a former UFC star. They build nothing there and are solely about the now like the classic failed MMA org.
I guess just enjoy the good fights they actually do produce while they last. This is still a really good card with a lot of them. But tbh, on average I enjoy LFA more even, because they're closer to what Bellator used to be, just a true minor league version of it.

The rule Rory would most want changed is disallowing headbutts and his dream finish is brutality (which he daydreams about).

Re: Bellator 192: Lima vs. MacDonald, 1/20
I don't really bet anymore, but there are seemingly some good plays on this card.
Pico is not nearly proven enough to be a -850 favorite against a 13-2 fighter. A lot of hype there. C
Corrales is a small dog against Karakhanyan. Georgi has looked a shell of himself after injury, while Corrales got underrated from facing a murderer's row early and now has picked up the momentum. Karakhanyan can't really control position here I don't think, and has problem at distances. Corrales can rip that leg kick, and I think sprawl and box his way to victory, probably a finish. Corrales wins inside the distance at +335 is a good play.
Of course I think Lima has been one of the most underrated fighters in the sport. I can't see Rory doing much against him on the feet. At distance Lima is going to rip (mostly leg) kicks and when Rory comes close time a sledgehammer uppercut. Rory needs it on the ground. I think Lima has underrated tdd because Askren is the best in the sport and the first time against Koreshkov he was on one leg. Maybe Rory catches the leg and takes him down off that, but Lima has good defense from the bottom. Just can get too comfortable on the ground and doesn't have good hips.
Rampage at -165 vs. Chael also doesn't look right. Chael looks closer to prime, has underrated boxing where he keeps opponents at distance, and then sets up takedowns well. Rampage moves and reacts slow to stop them. They both are fighting up divisions. Rampage has a lot of girth these days. That's all that could save him. Otherwise, p4p Chael is much better.

He wants head butts legal? Holy hell, everybody hurts with a head butt. Including the one who did the head butt.

What an ***hole Rory is with the smug right wing, "I guess it's not politically correct to call them midgets anymore" (after calling Peter Dinklage a "midget"). It's 2018, man...and you were born in 1990. At no point in your lifetime has it been okay to use "midget". The world's just changing too fast, what'll they find offensive next week?
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

LOL Rampage @ 253 lbs. Sonnen looking even worse.
THAT is why this shouldn't be main event. Over/under on number of fights til Rampage can't make 265 is 1.2.

The three biggest strikes from Chandler in the fight that almost got the TKO we're flush to the back of the head.

Meh, he was hyper aggressive with his GNP and there was a lot of movement happening there.

Obviously it's gonna happen occasionally but 2 straight and 3 out of 4 strikes being illegal is a bit much to "meh" imo.
