Bumping this up to hopefully get a few more last minute votes before the glut of 2018 cards start.

Fight of the year goes to the best barn burner, but it would be cool to have something like biggest fight of the year.
DC vs Jones, GSP Vs Bisping, Connor vs...
that's a competitive category.

That would be an interesting idea, but I wonder if it wouldn't be too objective. Like, you don't really need nominees if you can just list fights and their buyrates. Maybe there would be a case where the fight with the biggest buyrate wasn't the "biggest" fight, but I don't remember it.

I think you would lose some of the subjectivity that makes these awards interesting.

True, what about something more subjective, like Realgm MMA boards most anticipated fight or something like that.
DC vs Jones
vs
GSP Vs Bisping
Would be interesting. This year should be good as well, Khabib vs Ferg or Ferg vs Conor. Cormier if he goes to heavy weight... lots of exciting ones that probably will be hugely anticipated, but not fight of the year type fights.

Nobody would pick GSP/Bisping over Jones/DC though.
