Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Felice Herrig
Anthony Pettis vs. Michael Chiesa
Al Iaquinta vs. Paul Felder
Joe Lauzon vs. Chris Gruetzemacher Let's hope this fight actually happens this time. It's the fight I'm most looking forward to this year. Funny thing is I'll be in Japan during this fight

Anyone else think Nurmagoedov is going to crush Ferguson? Usually i am all over underdogs but feel Khabib is the way more superior fighter.
I think it will be ground and pound for the majority of the fight leading to an easy win for the Russian.

I mean, if he crushes Ferguson then he legitimately has a shot at becoming the GOAT. Who would even possibly be able to challenge him then? Khabib is a nightmare for Conor, who was literally begging the ref to stand up the fight when he fought "little mini Mendes".

It's safe to say Connor will retire when Khabib wins.
Or he'll just go fight meaningless fights against Nate a few more times.

Looks to me like they built this card around the possibility that the main event doesn't happen.
You would still have a title fight, and you have contenders able to step into the LW championship fight if necessary. Rose/JJ seems to be hedged in the same way.
BTW, Tony needs to do something about his hair (or lack thereof).

That's why he wears his glasses!

I think he will.
This is looking like a good card so far.

He might be the better fighter, but he's absolutely going to get tagged at some point.

Is Tony vs. Khabib the GOAT LW match of all time? It might be.
I think it will be a test for both and if anyone dominates the other it just means that guy is unbelievably good, far beyond a normal champion of a division type.

Apparently if the main event happens Conor will be stripped when the fight starts.
http://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/22628282/dana-white-confirms-ufc-strip-conor-mcgregor-lightweight-belt-award-tony-ferguson-khabib-nurmagomedov-winnerAs of today, Conor McGregor is the UFC's official lightweight champion, but that will not be the case come April 7.
UFC president Dana White confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the promotion intends to strip McGregor, 29, of his 155-pound title the moment interim champion Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov step into the Octagon at UFC 223 on April 7 in Brooklyn.
The UFC announced that title fight in January but declined to say whether McGregor had been stripped. White has now made it clear that McGregor will no longer be a UFC champion on that date, provided Ferguson and Nurmagomedov remain healthy and make weight.
"As soon as one punch is thrown, it's on for the full title, and it's only fair," White told the Times. "They've both worked their way up to No. 1 and No. 2. They deserve a shot."

Hopefully this card sticks. I think this card has good solid depth with two legit co main events. Probably their deepest card of the year so far.

Man, every time a pro-athlete has a noticeably diminished hairline it gets treated like something needing public intervention. Just let the Ginobli's out there worry about it by themselves.

Tony let Kevin Lee take him to the ground. If Khabib takes you down, it's over.

It's not the best poster, but the bar was giving away free posters of this card so I picked one up.
I was a bit surprised to see Khabib is more than a 2-to-1 favorite, but I guess it makes sense.
I'm really excited for this card. 2 title fights, and 3 of my favorite fighters in Rose, Pettis, and Joe Lauzon are fighting.

I know everyone hates Pettis on this board so I don't know why I even bother LOL, but one of my close friends and training partners is cornering Anthony for this fight. He's lanky with a crazy sub game a la Chiesa so its a great fit IMO.
Susan, its Dan if you didn't know that already.

I heard that Chiesa has spent 30k+ on barbers this camp, and that his hair, beard, and brows are going to be _on point_. We're talking threading, waxing, shaving...lightning bolts, celtic knots, Babylonian text...Chiesa is really putting in time in front of the mirror to get ready for Pettis.
