I'm not exactly a fan of fighters calling out commentators trying to do their jobs. He was just done complimenting him. Daniel is class the way he handles those situations. He would in all likelihood wreck Latifi, but who knows. Could wind up a Serra-GSP situation. Daniel is a fellow stump and Latifi keeps himself in fights, has killer instinct. That was a frenetic finish. Threw everything at him but the kitchen sink.

Torres/Andrade was a very high level wmma fight. Hoping we get more of those types of fights and fighters on main cards in front of a lot of eyes as opposed to the likes of PVZ and Bec Rawlings.

Andrade has such a great combination of takedowns/top pressure/passing. My sternum feels crushed just watching her fight.

Platinum should have continued to try to finish on the feet against Griffin. Switched to grappling. If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough. He's certainly that. Gotta eventually evolve and instead of chasing guys set them up by cutting off the cage, feinting, and getting them to do what you want. I do want him to stay in the UFC because he's a lot of fun. He has taken a lot of damage in a short period in the cage.

When people were chanting his name at the beginning of the fight all I could think of since it was in Florida was odds are one of them had been burgled by him before.

Perry is tough and fun to watch. I agree that he should have kept trying to finish standing. He actually does have pretty good offensive and defensive wrestling though. I think he gassed at the end of the fight tbh.

Kelleher shouldn't have been such a big dog. He doesn't pass the eye test against Barao, and doesn't have a great record, but he flows from one aspect to the next well, sets up big shots, and is a terminator. Had compiled a good resume in recent years after being a journeyman. That was nasty how he kept beating on Barao at the end. He already had the win and was risking getting countered. Most fighters are a different breed. Barao is one of those guys who I'm worried about post-career. He's taken a few JDS type beatings.

Agree that there have been several entertaining fights thus far.

RZ, who are you rooting for in this fight? Another one which unfortunately for you someone has to win.

I'm hoping it's Emmett without reservation. He didn't miss weight this time. Stephens will always be a prick. Hope he gets his block knocked off.

I guess Emmett. I thought the Lamas debacle was scumbag move (his post fight interviews made it worse) but Stephens did the exact same thing to Bermudez IIRC and is more a scumbag in general.

I told someone when watching that fight that Dillashaw/Barao is the bw version of Cain/JDS. Don't think Barao will ever be the same after those beatings.

I would have made that post if you didn't.

God damn it. Definitely illegal knee to a grounded opponent, and may have stunned him. Likes to fight guy has had a good, long career doing what he was bred to do. I'll give him that.

Didnt Emmett flatten Lamas with a left hook? Perhaps MMA God's have forgiven Stephens but decided to punish Emmett.

If MMA gods cared about someone being a scumbag, Jon Jones wouldn't be undefeated.

I kind of hate that Edgar is going to knock off Ortega. Once Holloway has those two wins, he would have legitimately cleared out that division. No interest in Stephens vs Holloway, even putting aside my dislike for Stephens.

Mentioning that name is blasphemous, look for the MMA gods to punish you soon.

I'll just stay out of the cage then. Doesn't mean I won't bump into Jeremy Stephens on the street though.

Props to you for not taking my Ortega bait. I feel like you see right through me these days. :)
