Ya clearly illegal move and it wasn't a heat of the moment thing either, he took his time and thought about it before he threw it. I hate the 12-6 rule, but Eddie knows the rule and threw it. It was the right move to stand them up.

I'd give Conor a week to sign to fight Khabib or else give it to Poirier.

It does seem like he has a sabotage button in his mind, or he's just overly emotional in this particular match-up. Probably the latter considering the multi-org titles. Trying to live up to the pre-fight talk too much. There was no reason to deliver either blow.

It was weird, he literally saw Mark Henry, Mark suggested elbowing, and he went for it calmy. Odd.

Jeremy "I won't stop hitting my opponents until the ref physically pulls me off their bodies" Stephens losing is so damn satisfying. War Aldo!

I'd give Conor 30 weeks in jail and on suspension then give it to Poirier and then try the Ferguson match-up for the 30th time.

My brain literally can't comprehend the violence/awesomeness that a Poirier/Ferguson matchup would entail

The most entertaining division in the sport hands down. You could say that about a plethora of fighters matching up. The casual fan doesn't know what they're missing waiting until Conor fights.

Give me a Conor/Khabib main event with Poirier/Ferguson Co-main. Toss in Lee/Diaz and you have an epic LW card.

It's the division that has the perfect combination of guys with legit 1 punch knock out, unlimited cardio, and great overall skill. By far the best division. So many crazy good potential fights, that usually live up to the hype.

I'm torn but I might wanna see Khabib-Lee more than any of the other matchups tbh. Poirier/Tony would be soo sick.

Forget the validity of the 12-6 rule, Eddie also grabbed the fence as he threw it. Definitely grounds for a stand-up. I think he'd stabilized himself with the fence a couple times beforehand. No room for complaint.

Also, even if the rule were as silly and arbitrary as don't throw a left hook after a right kick (or whatever), you know not to do it and everyone has to follow it equally.

Also2, late stoppage and hard to watch. Goddard seemed to move to unfortunate angles. Not nec his fault, he's a great ref. But that was too much punishment for Eddie.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

That's an elbow that doesn't even feel that natural to throw, and there is no reason to ever ever practice, so how is your instinct to even throw that?

Such a huge loss for EA. He bet on himself on this fight. I think it was last one on the deal and he said he and the UFC weren't even close on the money for a new contract. Going to guess their offer didn't go up much after KO loss, despite how awesome the fight was.

I only watched once on mute but pretty sure his corner instructed him to throw it right before he did it. Either that or they instructed him to do something else and he misunderstood what they wanted. Still don't understand how he didn't know that wasn't a rule. He must have literally never listened to one episode ever of JRE.

I dont think I have ever done a 180 on a fighter faster than I have with Joanna. I used to really like her, but man I cant recall a fighter that has taken 2 losses as bad as she has. The complete denial that she has with her fights against Rose is amazing to me. I cant stand the girl now.

Conor really rubbed off on her, and not in a good way.

Is complete denial worse than how Rousey took her losses?
