Both of these guys used to fight at 145! No way they should take a fight at 170.

Guys who go up a weight class but just continue to call out guys from the original class (or lower) is f*cking annoying.

I like nate but he’s such a douche.

“ the lightweight division is dead, I own that division”

Then calls out two lightweights. Everything he says is contradictory.

I think Dustin will fight him though.

Right, yea Poirier is all about the money at this point which is understandable.

The annoying part is that somehow Nate is a big draw.

Belal Muhammad replaces Chimaev in the Leon fight, like a 1 month turnaround for him that's wild

Poor Leon. They were trying to get Colby to fight him. Nothing going for Leon the last two years. A million fights cancelled and no one wants to fight him.

Well except for wonderboy, who Leon should just fight but won’t.

Also Khabib posted a pic of him with the mumps before the gaethje fight. A lot went against him in that lead up, no wonder he was so relieved to make weight

Gaethje getting boned by the ufc still. Glad Charles is getting a title shot at least.

Guess Dustin took money over title shot

That’s just some weird thought process that the internet guys have perpetuated.

He destroyed 145 won the title, was given a 155 title shot because he was the champ at the other division, exactly no difference than what Izzy, Max, TJ, Cujo, GSP, Jones, were given or if Khabib wanted to jump to 170 they’d allow that.

Then he came back and fought Mid ranked cowboy and top 5 Dustin, which is all reasonable.

This belief that he’s some how got all this preferential treatment is crazy to me.

How is he getting boned?

He’s 4-3 in his last 7.

Conor’s win against cowboy is widely looked at as a weak win... that’s Justin’s 2nd best win and exactly 1 fight before Conor faced him.

Justin is a journeyman who got over hyped because he beat A declining Tony, imo.

lol

why even bother with Headliner, knowing that there is some insnae, irrational resentment about Khabib lying in the background of everything he says?

there is a point there, in fact: why bother? there is no common ground between sane people and you; arguments can't be made without common ground; why bother?

Again you say nothing, why do you post if you have nothing to discuss but jerking off, eye pokes and hot fighters.

You don’t make any arguments, just personal jabs to make your crumby life feel a little more palatable. You’re not ‘sane’, you’re probably a pretty sad individual actual.

You’re at least near 40, you should have more self awareness and be at a better place in your life. Take a break from the internet and enjoy life. Your tense man.

Because chandler is 1-0?

Because Justin is good?

Because ufc continue to try give him short notice fights and the ufc was trying to get gaethje vs Chandler done so undoubtedly he said give me 12 weeks, which he’s been saying forever and they said no.

Not that this is super short notice, I think about 8 weeks but he’s been pretty critical of the ufc and they keep up with the same games.

Conor has one win in the ufc at lightweight and that was on 2016. He’s lost his last two fights at light weight. The only weird thought process was your response.

No ones saying he didn’t deserve his title shot vs Alvarez. That’s not relevant. He doesn’t deserve one now. There was a concern he’d get one straight away given he’s fighting the guy most deserving of a title shot in Dustin but looks like dustin chose money and the ufc actually did the right thing making their fight a non title fight.

Chandler, I’m pretty sure signed a contract with a promise of a title shot within a fight or two. Could be wrong though.

I don’t think that’s boning Justin though, if he turned down the short notice. It’s not like this scenario was unpredictable, I think everyone knew Charles was fighting for a title if Khabib retired.

The ufc wants the title figured out, and Justin is coming off a loss. Chandler just had an amazing debut and is older with a shorter window.

All that said though you are probably right, chandler probably should have fought another fight first. Dustin imo deserves the title shot, but Conor and Dustin are out, so that leaves Charles vs Either chandler or Justin and if Justin can’t hit the time line, then I can see why they gave it to chandler coming off a top 5 win in impressive fashion.
I’m sure Justin will probably fight the winner though.
