Wtf
I like the fight and all, but how the hell do they skip Colby and how the hell does a guy missing weight 2/4 fights get a shot?

He better make weight this time...but it’s the UFC we know what will happen. Till will miss weight and it will become a non-title fight and he’ll win, just so there’s a giant whirlwind cluster **** circling the division between him, Woodly and Colby.

This is a super weird decision by the UFC. Till showed no killer instinct in his last fight. Totally listless performance. So they pit him against the ultimate in lackluster???

Colby looked a destroyer in his last fight. *That guy* has something to prove.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Maybe Till will actually throw strikes since Woodley won't fist bump him for five rounds?

The Covington thing is symbolic of how big a joke the UFC is now.

I'm rooting for another big weight miss just to watch the world burn. I doubt Tyron let's them bully him into accepting a fight like most guys do.

Well, you can't really criticize Woodley for wanting to be a two division champ...

The UFC has officially become the ultimate clown show. Here is what I'm hoping happens. Till misses weight, him and Woodley still fight but not for the belt. Till KO Woodley but Woodley keeps the belt. So the division gets even more screwed up.

Then come the DC vs Brock fight. I hope Brock KOs DC but we find out he ends up testing positive. So the HW belt and division would be screwed and the WW belt would be screwed. This is what the UFC deserves right now.

The fact that they gave Colby the interim belt, but now taking it away cause he won't fight a title fight on a 3 month turn around is beyond a joke.

Till misses weight. Woodley says pay me more or I won't take the fight. UFC cuts Woodley. Till vs. Covington for the vacated belt. Both fighters miss weight. Dana dies from a stroke.

Talking about flying under the radar, this card is in like two weeks and I haven't seen any promotions about it.

UFC is probably hedging their bets so they can sweep this one under the rug when Till comes in at 186 lbs to weigh-ins and Woodley refuses the fight.

The poster for this event is Darren Till standing up over Woodley looking like it's David vs. Goliath. If/when this goes awry, they better have a replacement on standby. Individual contenders like Usman should offer to cut weight for the show money knowing the history here.

If Montano/Shevchenko ends up as the main event, no way can they keep it as a ppv. It would practically be an Invicta card. Already dreading that portion of the event. That's a long toke break. A 3 fight momentum drop-off. Shame, because there could be fireworks in a few fights before that between Aljo-Stamann, Price-Razak Alhassan, and Rivera-Dodson.

Did you really just throw that out there or did you have knowledge of this? They are doing exactly that. Usman is cutting weight and showing up to fight if the fight falls through. He's actually weighing in the day before in case anyone falls out the day of.

Not getting his entire show purse but they are compensating him.

Have they bothered to ask Woodley if he'd be ok with an opponent replacement?

Woodley isn't exactly UFC pawn boy. And the stylistic differences between Usman and Till are about as pronounced as they get. I wouldn't be shocked if he turned it down and I certainly wouldn't blame him.

Till is going to miss weight, Usman will be there but Woodley will say no. So calling it now, the main event will be Till and Usman at a catch weight haha.

No clue what the UFC were thinking with this fight. Had all the built in story lines they couldve wanted with a Woodley/Colby fight. But they didnt want to wait a couple more months so they rushed this thing through, a fight that most people are thinking is going to fall through.

I just threw it out there. Wasn't aware of that. Thought it was iffy w/ Usman specifically because he purported to have broken his hands several months ago. Just makes the most sense with somebody, and him especially, if actually available. At least they have a contingency plan.

Usman should have gotten the shot in the 1st place once they screwed over Colby. Trying for that Liverpudlian market. Max fun would be if Colby unexpectedly recovered and then showed up on weight. I think that would flip him from heel to hero.

Don't see why Woodley should prefer a bloated Till at a catchweight. His title would still be marred if he lost. That's the one I wouldn't blame him for not taking. I would blame if he turned down a fight against any true welterweight. He's welterweight champ and he prepared for a fight. Should be ready to defend against anybody to prove he's worthy of that top spot. He'd get deservedly ridiculed if he didn't, and then erroneously accuse everyone of racism again for criticizing him.

UFC is in "sell its soul" mode. Need a main event? Create a BS belt out of nowhere a month before the champion returns. Need a new main event? Strip the belt you doled out a month ago.

Aslo have no faith in the challenger to make weight, have the 6th ranked fighter train and cut weight as a backup. This sounds like something a struggling up and coming promotion would do. Here is a crazy idea, instead of giving the title shot to a guy that just missed weight by 4+ pounds and has missed weight 2 out of his last 4 fights (oh and he's not even the #1 ranked challenger). How bout you have the interim champion who is the former teammate of the champion and now they despise each other fight each other. Or does that just make too much sense.

I dont know if it was Lorenzo Fertitta keeping this ship straight or what, but it seems like since the UFC got bought out, they have seemed like a business running around with its head chopped off.

I love the UFC and of course I want them to get this all figured out because I want to see the highest level of MMA as I can see. But there is definitely a big part of me that wants to see Till miss weight and Woodley deny to fight Usman. Its what the UFC deserves right now.
