Tito v Chuck

This is so upsetting. Tito is a terrible human being, it looks like he's going to cap his career by redeeming himself from his worst failure. After having previously been on like a 1 for 7 run (prior to Chael win), he's going to finish with two big wins.

The scenario I'm hoping for: Chuck injured or not cleared to fight. Tom Lawlor moved into main event (has said he would take it). Beats Tito from pillar to post. Tito gets Petruzellid, Tom gets some cash and a big name. The world remains just.

Chuck is going to be 49 years old in like 3 weeks.
This is a disgusting fight. He already has brain damage imo, the guy walks and talks like he's stunned and has tremors.

Tito will probably KO him. How long ago did Chuck fight last, and even then if you even grazed his chin he was out cold. This is sad.

Least surprising result of any fight this year...I guess Tito really needed that win against Chuck to feel accomplished in life.

Boy, was that ever sad to watch. Chuck was so slow and old. Absolutely no business being in the cage. Stick to the coke, chuck.

I know this sounds morbid but I remember there was a kid a few years back in Milwaukee who died in a boxing match. He spent the whole last round on ice skates so to speak, never looked to fully have his balance. That's how Chuck looked the whole fight to me.

That's how Chuck looked when he was just hitting pads in the open workouts...

I remember how sad Chuck's situation was 8 years ago. Congrats to Golden Boy Promotions for headlining their inaugural event with the most depressing fight ever.

Theres this thing that happens a lot in the training room where two guys are equal or maybe one is a little better than the other and therefore wins sparring/rolling sessions between the two consistently. Then the better guy gets injured or takes a break and when he comes back, the previously inferior guy improved to the point of the tables turning. But it always takes a few minutes or even rounds for the previously inferior guy to get over the mental hurdle and realize he's a step ahead. That's kind of what last night reminded me of. Tito was getting more and more confident as the fight went on and he realized this was no longer the Chuck who KOed him twice. By the end he was styling on him about as much as Tito can style on anyone standing.

Bummer, man. :(

-Power might go last, but balance does not. You can have all the pop you want, if you can't coordinate your body such that it's stable enough to throw, all that power's for naught. Chuck could not get his balance correct at all. He, of all fighters, was famous for being to punch while circling back and throwing across his body (vs Couture II). That was all gone last night.

-I don't think there is any Tito fanboy that could possibly be impressed by this. Tito got crushed when the two were in comparable ages. What possible redemption could come from waiting til the guy ages out to get back a third? I don't care how much nu metal and Punishment gear you have, that's just not going to impress anyone.

That said, Tito - like his President - lives in a world of his own. He's definitely taking pleasure in this. And that we can all be sad about.
