Nunes was barely an underdog.
Easily Cejudo vs. Johnson, only because Lobov vs. Johnson wasn't nominated.

I don't consider the MM loss as an upset because the longer you go, the harder it is to keep defending, and it was a really controversial decision to me.
Cyborg had one loss and she hadn't lost in what 13 years? I don't know about barely underdog, the line changed last second but was heavily for Cyborg still. Nunes did it in emphatic fashion.

I never considered Nunes-Cyborg a major upset in a similar way as Rose-Joanna and Holm-Rousey wasn't for me. WMMA has a dearth of women with impressive physical ability. So the anomalies run roughshod over the rest of the division until they meet up with fellow outliers. Might not be dominant themselves because they have holes in their game that were exploited by fighters with the skill to maybe take advantage (i.e.: Tate over Holm, after Tate had been dominated), but when they met up with someone who previously hadn't met someone with commensurate physical ability, they were at worst very live dogs to defeat them.

I still go with Nunes, it might not have been the biggest upset if you go with Vegas odds but it was still undeniably the biggest "HOLY **** what just happened" momment this year in the UFC. Maybe not that Nunes won but the way it all went down was

Cejudo might have been the bigger underdog odds wise but when he won i was like "Alright, DJ had to loose at one point.." and it was a long grind out win (and i still dont even agree that Cejudo won, **** glorifying the takedowns when they dont amount to anything) where after the Nunes fight everyone was shell shocked

I went with Nunes just because she definitively won with no controversy.

Cejudo was not even surprising if you paid attention to the specifics of his two losses. And the man's near delusional self-belief. To eck out a decision? Big deal.
Amanda KO1'd a woman people dropped belts to avoid. Germaine was like 41-0 in kickboxing, didn't want to fight Cyborg.

Cyborg has looked unbeatable for the last 10 years. Only 2 of her fights went to decision in the last 10 years. Then add in the way Nunes beat her, she didnt beat her in a close decision, the girl just steamrolled over her. Ya I will go with that one.

I would pick the other Nunes, because I still don't get how Nina Ansaroff beat Claudia.
