Previous winners:

2017 - Demetrious Johnson's jump into armbar of Ray Borg (UFC 216)
2016 - Miesha Tate RNC's Holm late to win title (UFC 196)
2015 - Rousey's Lightning Fast Armbar of Cat Zingano (UFC 184)
2014 - Eduardo Dantas' lightning quick choke out of Anthony Leone (Bellator 111)
2013 - Kenny Robertson lands the first Ham Ripper in UFC history on Brock Jardine (UFC 157)

2011 - Frank Mir rips off Big Nog's shoulder with a Kimura (UFC 140)
2010 - Anderson Silva triangles Sonnen for come from behind win (UFC 117)

Fun Fact: There had only even been one knee bar from back mount in UFC history before Sterling and Magomedshapirov both pulled it off on the same night, at UFC 228.

The Zabit/Aljamain kneebar needs to be combined and should win.

Aljamain wins because he showed Zabit the way while he was watching in the back. That can't be a coincidence we never see it, but then it happens twice in one night.

Ryan Hall's heel hook of BJ Penn should be on the list. BJ is washed up but if you read fightnomics, guys actually tend to get subbed LESS as they age (as their knowledge of submissions and fighting increase), and BJ was a Mundials champion already, never been submitted. Definitely more impressive than RNC Jim Miller who has been RNCed about as much as Frank Trigg at this point.

One of the wrestling coaches at my gym said it best this week, "There were literally thousands of successful takedowns in the UFC last year, but everyone at every open mat across the country today is drilling the imanari roll to heel hook".

:)

I'm all for giving this a tie to Zabit and Sterling. A move you basically never see that just happens to happen twice in one night.
