Excited for these two title fights.
I'm picking Adesanya and Zhang to retain their titles.

Love this matchup, I have Israel winning but ill never bet against Romero. I feel like if Israel gets a little careless then Romero has the power to put him out but if he sticks to his game plan and doesn't fight him like he fought Gastelum then I can see him winning

Credit to the main event for absolutely selling me on an undeserved title shot. The press conference “dance off”, the final stare down at the weigh in, it’s all these little things that get me super hyped. Seeing Yoel scream “how many years!?” At the early weigh in... that gave me chills man. He’s a true veteran in this sport, it really is crazy. To compete at his age at a high level.. in a division that is not welcoming to older bodies. This isn’t LHW or HW, MW is the best of combo of speed and power ... then you had Izzy crying on embedded after realizing how far he’s come in life, and how close he is to achieving even bigger things ... that gave me chills too. And a scene that easily answers Dana’s long provoked question of “So you want to be a fighter?”. This is what I love about the sport, love that has been wavering in this WME era yet its a typical WME money fight that ironically gets me hyped

Also this co main title fight could’ve headlined a PPV imo. Even more reason to be excited. I’m not getting caught up In stacked top to bottom PPV cards anymore, but this one comes close

My feeling is Romero has hit the wall. I think we will see a distinct slip in his physical abilities. At some point, that has to happen (right??). I feel like there's now no way he can have escaped the toll of some of those wars. Adesanya schools him.

He's never going away.

I stick by my theory that Romero and Whitaker took too much out of each other in those wars and neither will ever be the same.
That said, there is an outside possibility of a Machida/Romero situation where Machida is a step ahead all night...until he isn't and gets clipped and donkey konged.

Mark O is crazy strong. From the same country, so know him very well (not personally), followed his career for the last ~10 years. When he transitioned from wrestling to mma, he was able to bring over the strength and elite wrestling, but i just think he is to old to really evolve into a threat to the top fighters in the UFC. His standup and submission game is something he needs to work on, his superior strength and wrestling can only take him this far.

I'm shocked Rodolfo retains that physique under USADA. Jesus. Also, inspiring performance by him, knowing he had to get a quick finish to avoid the TKO loss due to doctor stoppage.

Winn needs to go to 170. He's probably a close to elite talent down there.

I mean, it's not really age that hinders him, it's time spent in the sport. Like if he was 40 and had been fighting MMA for 20 years, he's probably not learning anything but if he's 40 and started at 37, that dude still can get better + still learn.

Fighting at 205 and missing weight at 185 doesn't bode well for him at 170. Plus he said something to the effect of if he can't beat Mearschart then MMA may not be for him or something like that.
