Coin flip for me for the main event. Tony seems to get clipped every fight he is in and if Justin catches him I don't think he survives it. But I can also see him wearing Justin down and taking the fight in round 4. I will say Tony right now, tomorrow I may say Justin

Has anyone seen Henry lately? Last time I saw him a few months back he was grotesquely fat. Hopefully his cut goes smoothly.

He had a nice gash over his eye from camp as well, that was only a couple of days ago. People were questioning if he’d be able to go but I take it it’s fine.

A note that Pettis is 4-8 in his last 12. He's going to be in Artem Lobov territory with a loss (Artem Lobov was .286 in the UFC, Pettis would be .30-something).

Yeah, he's still looking pretty chubby in the hype videos for this - videos recent enough that he's talking about Cruz.

Still, it's 135, maybe he can carry some flab and make the weight.

He's never felt this good and healthy before though, and he has the look in his eye right now.

Still in denial about this happening, but it’s deep into fight week and weigh in’s are tomorrow, so I’m just waiting this out before I even place any money on the event.

Cowboy has lost his last 3 and is 4-7 in his last 11.

Fair. But that's dwarfed by his overall UFC record, which is like 23-11. He must have been at .800+ before those 11 fights and he's still .65-.70. Pettis hanging around .500, will drop below with a loss (eyeballing).

I think Cowboy is done, Pettis has just lost to some really good freaking fighters and Pettis already washed out Cowboy in the past.

Cowboy's best win was in 2014. Pettis last two wins were pretty freaking impressive Ws.

Cowboy beat Al from pillar to post last summer. Al coming off of, IIRC, that beatdown of Lee and the 5 rounds with Khabib.

Speaking of classic LW head to heads, watched JG vs Alvarez last night. Holy God. That is Alvarez at his best, and must be his best win. What a performance. Made me doubt JG in the fight vs Tony, for sure.

That Khabib/Al fight was weird and not competitive.

Still, finishes over both Wonderboy and Chiesa are good wins. Nobody else has finished Wonderboy and Chiesa is still on the upswing especially after beating RDA.

I think the Cruz/Henry matchup is really interesting. Henry weathered Marlon's storm and won a great fight but that's all he's done at 135.

Cruz was on another level than DJ when they fought (forever ago) but still, Henry eeked out a W in the second fight and was finished in the first. Beating TJ off of an extreme layoff is more. impressive than KOing cross country runner TJ at 125 as silly as that sounds.

The fact that this is short notice and Dom has such a unique style to prepare for makes me want to give him the edge. Henry used. fight IQ. and will to beat Marlon after he gassed, Dom isn't going to fight outside of himself and his style took Alpha Male 8 years to figure out. It's going to be hard to gameplan for him on 2 weeks notice.

I think JG has changed his style since his losses.

This was my thought, Dom has a style that’s been proven to be incredibly difficult to get down.

The guys that beat him didn’t just have one camp to
Prepare, they literally had a team of guys dissecting him for 8 years. They knew him better than anyone. He’s been out of the game for 3-4 years, Cringe has probably not even given him a thought.
Henry still has the edge as he’s an elite guy in his prime and who has been active, but I can’t see it being Matt Serra vs GSP level of craziness if Dom wins it. Dom was/is the goat of that division after all.

Getting into it now.

Zero mental warfare between JG/Tony, Henry is trying with Dom but that mother **** has been through it already.

IF anybody can come back from his layoff, Dom can.

Even if he hasn't been in the cage fighting, Dom has been training and studying fighters professionally and taking care of his body.

I doubt he's staying the same as he was before. I think he's added a good deal to of wrinkles to his game.
