I hope the long term damage isn't too bad.

But yes, live by the eye poke, die by the eye poke I guess.

Sucks that DC ate an eye poke. Not that it matters, but I didn't see that. It occurred during the 30 seconds my stream died.

Just saw that. No real opinion I was pretty distracted. Though dc was winning round 2 easily the. The last 20 seconds. How are you suppose to score that?

Ngannous is next UFC HW and will reign for as long as he so chooses.

Yup. The first KO came right after going knuckle deep into Stipe's eye. Then after the 2nd fight the dude had to get surgery on his eyes.

Hard to feel bad for DC when it comes to eye pokes in this trilogy haha.

Bones talking a lot on his twitter tonight. Go up to HW or STFU IMO.

He was winning but by enough to make up for that last 20 seconds. Plus he was lucky the bell saved him so I'd give it to Stipe if there's any question at all.

The tie breaker should have been that Russian slap contest that the fat guy participates in. Only instead of slapping each other, they should see how far into each other's eyes that they can dig.

There is nothing at LHW for Jon? Dude just got a split decision win then somehow a "unanimous" win over Reyes which I thought he lost.

Not really. Just as you should feel bad for Stipe, you can also feel bad for DC. That eyepoke would have stopped the fight right there, if the doctor came in.

And since so many contributed the first win to the eyepoke, i guess the same people should hate on Stipe now and contribute this win to the eyepoke.

It really blows that this is a topic of conversation IMO and will keep this from being an all time great trilogy due to the controversy.

I wasn't one of those people, also this eye poke came after Stipe already was ahead in the scorecards 2-1.

This would be like if someone held a sub on Palhares a second or two too long, I wouldn't feel bad for Palhares. Hell DC even poked Stipe in the eye earlier in this fight. I think this is getting way overblown anyways. Stipe would've won that fight no matter what and is the GOAT HW.

And still! Stipe!

Great fight. Great history between the two. Great Rivalry. Great wars.

I don't want to hear anything about the eye poke. DC poked Stipe in the eye all 3 fights.

DC was so out of it at the end of round 2. He was asking if he went down and how he didn’t etc. had no idea
