UFC March 27th - Stipe vs Francis, Ortega vs Volk

Post#1 » by cowboyronnie » Wed Mar 17, 2021 7:08 pm

Those are pretty hot, competitive fights.

Tyron vs Luque is on here too. Almedia vs OMalley.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

I'm allowed to hate people who are fun to watch.

Stipe
Ortega
O'Malley

Hate picking the last two, but I think Ortega just finds a way to finish Volk. And Almeida is just getting thrown to the wolves to O'Malley. Not saying O'Malley is some unstoppable force or anything, Almeida has just been garbage for 5 years now. Theyre just trying to get their boy O'Malley back in the W column.

And Luque pieces up Woodley, dont see that fight being close.

^^ I hope you're wrong about the latter two. Seeing Stipe's brains splattered all over the arena is gonna be depressing enough without Ortega/O'Malley winning as well.

The reign of Francis is about to begin guys.

Yeah, O'Malley win, Tyron loss, Ortega win would be pretty depressing.

I like Stipe, too, I guess. He is pretty awesome for a fire fighting cage fighter.

Ortega is just a gut feeling. The O'Malley fight is 100% looking like a feeding Almeida to the wolves kind of fight. Nov 2016 was Almeida's last win. This is 100% getting O'Malley an "easy" return fight to start building his momentum again. But ya I will 100% be rooting for Almeida and Volk (even though Im not a fan of Volk) that night.

I still think Stipe beats Francis. Stipe's combination of head movement and wrestling ability wins it again for him, just like in the 1st fight. I dont think we ever see a Francis reign, even if Francis wins this fight, he loses to Jon.

I have hated him since I saw interview with him, maybe on TFATK, where he talked about having beaten up a teacher...and clearly still gloried in it. some teacher was blocking a doorway after chastising Ortega and Ortega kicked his ass.

But the slapping of that KPop guy is definitely what sealed it. may as well take Gracie as his last name, at this point. he's of the mentality.

He slapped that Korean DJ dude, and just to exemplify what a coward he is, he waited until Korean Zombie left the room to do it.

Then he was celebrated for it on the "Gracie Bullyproof" social media page. You literally can't make this up. Hopefully that whole group goes the way of the O'Doyle family.

I feel like I was picking Francis over Stipe and you guys all told me I was wrong, and I was.

Now I feel like I’m leaning decently to Stipe and you’re all picking Francis this time.

So what am I missing right now? Just the punishment from the DC fight? That and age? Incremental increases by Francis? All of the above?

In another thread I picked Francis this time and I had quite a few people disagree with me. So it might just be me being vocal and a few joining rather than the forum consensus. Francis was a bigger favorite heading into the first fight actually.

Anyway...
Stipe is 3 years older (38 now), and has fought 2 wars and been KOed in the meantime.

Francis is younger, was still throwing HARD in the 5th at the end of the last fight, and is on a 4 fight winning streak dispatching people within the first minute. I don't think he was quite ready last time, but I don't think this one gets out of the first or second tbh.

Just think he's reached another level following that Lewis fight and believed that the lack of training camp really hurt him in the last fight. He's a different dude.

Rooting for Stipe but the guy has been through wars and is getting up there in age. He took some big shots from Francis last time and I don't think he can take them again at this stage of his career. Hope I'm wrong though.

Stipe GOAT HW for sure, if he wins this, yeah? Like, with a lead that no one will be able to touch for a generation.
