J. Della Maddalena vs. I. Makhachev
170 lbs
- Islam moving up in weight to challenge JDM. On paper its a great style clash and JDM has wrestling chops, is a big guy in general. Islam got a lot of cheers from the crowd and is still my pick to win. He's a monster.

V. Shevchenko vs. Weili Zhang
125 lbs
- Maybe the GOAT Women's matchup ? Nunes of course beat Val, but I like Weili and Shev a lot, so this one might be on course to top it. Weili is great, there's lots of respect from both sides, seems like a great fight in the making, hopefully they both showcase it.

Sean Brady vs. M. Morales
170 lbs
- Brady keeps chugging along winning fights, and Morales is undeafeated. Trap card! Brady may well wrassle this one to death.

Leon Edwards vs. Carlos Prates
170 lbs
- Is Leon's era over, I think so. Picking Prates to knock him the **** out.

Beneil Dariush vs. B. Saint-Denis
155 lbs
- Benny's maybe closest matchup in years but he's fighting a younger guy. I don't highly rate either on the feet as both wrestle and grapple very well, however I don't rate Benny's chin much at all after his multiple times getting whalloped. BSD ITD.

prelims:
Bo Nickal vs. Rodolfo Vieira
185 lbs
- Regretfully picked Bo decision. Would like to see him get KO'd again but idk. Vieira is a goofy fighter despite lookign like a tank.

Roman Kopylov vs. G. Rodrigues
185 lbs
- Kopy's a slick kick boxer, he takes time getting into the round sometimes. I think Rodrigues overpowers him.

E. Blanchfield vs. Tracy Cortez
125 lbs
- Moderately interested in what is a rematch from a previous promotion. Cortez is like the UFC darling because she's a pretty latina and does all this media for them. Thirsty UFC fans eat it up. Is she as good in the octagon as her following ? No. Blanchfield is pretty tough, but has flaws in her striking. This is the fight to miss if you are a fight fan.

M. Wellmaker vs. Cody Haddon
135 lbs
- Wellmaker is a hot prospect KO'ing everyone, so why not this guy ?

G. Meerschaert vs. Kyle Daukaus
185 lbs
- GM3 legend. lets go.

Chepe Mariscal vs. Pat Sabatini
145 lbs
- Chepe's the big fav but I'm picking Pat who outwrassles people and I'm predicting the same.

Angela Hill vs. Fatima Kline
115 lbs

B. Susurkaev vs. Eric McConico
185 lbs
- Susurkaev KO 1, confident.

V. Borshchev vs. Matheus Camilo
155 lbs
- Make or break fight for my dude Borshchev who has a kind of cult following for his striking, but he's approaching can status with his recent run of form, so, man, win one more fight because I won't watch Slava Claus in ONE or PFL really.

Muay Thai is really strong for the taller fighter in MMA. I think the only time the body kick works is the southpaw vs orthodox match-up lol.

I am really not sure how Zhang could have won that fight. Perhaps by matching stance? Attempting to check the kick? I think that different clinching (by controlling the biceps rather than giving up the underhook) would have helped her a lot. There was no reason for her to give up the double collar tie at any point. She also gave up distance after earning it (granted, she was really afraid of catching that knee).

Shevchenko is just really hard to deal with. She has the fight IQ to know when to be Dieselnoi and when to be Makachev (very good judo!).

The rizz... of Muay Thai...

I like Muay Thai so I like Shevchenko.

To be honest, I think that UFC fighters generally don't have great Muay Thai IQ. I've even seen it with people at the gym I train at... they lack basic fundamentals.

Indeed! I think Shevchenko is a generational mixed martial artist but Zhang is lethal as well. She did not bring the rizz. She didn't have that dawwwwwwwg.
