NO, no it would not. Lesnar would take Kimbo down immediately and pound him out. Kimbo has been training MMA for a year, and so has Lesnar. Lesnar however is a great wrestler which Kimbo is not, Kimbo would get destroyed.
Kimbo will NEVER fight a real MMA fighter, he will continue to fight gimmick fights like this one was. Tank has lost 7 of his last 8 fights and is a joke. The lost guy Kimbo fought won his first like 4 fights of his career then basically lost the rest of them.
if Kimbo fights Shamrock next, then he officially is a pathetic gimmick. He would lose to any wrestler or grappler who trains mma. The only people he could beat in the UFC HW division are Eddy Sanchez and Sao Paleli.
it is Gary SHaw though, so you have to expect htis from him since he is just another corrupt boxing promoter who is only concerned with making money and not with puting on competitive fights.

We don't know if Kimbo can defend the takedown. If he can, I think Brock would lose. Takedown defence would limit what Brock could do in that fight.

why? he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. from everything i've heard, he's respectful, attentive and eager to learn. he's taking his training seriously, and has the backing of Bas. what more do you want?
he can take his training seriously all he wants, it will take 4 more years of training for him to even hang with anyone currently in the UFC outside of the two crap fighters i mentioned before. He loses to any fighter in the LHW or HW division until then.
that is why Zuffa signed Lesnar instead of Kimbo, because they know he can transition far quicker to being a real fighter. Anyone who thinks differently just definitely doesn't train in mma or even just bjj.

did you really just suggest that Kimbo would be able to do what Frank Mir wasn't able to do considering Mir weighs more, is far more skilled, and has been training mma for 10 years more than Kimbo. No one can stop Lesnar from taking them down, except maybe Tim Sylvia.
Lesnar also has 45 lbs on him, his far stronger, faster, quicker, and does not just weigh more but has a far larger body mass. Lesnar destroys Kimbo, that would be easier money for me than the Mir/Lesnar fight was.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but you'll never know until they actually fight. I once thought Josh Koskchek would dominate GSP and take him down at will. GSP showed me I was wrong. GSP actually prepared and trained against the takedown.
If Kimbo can actually learn how to defend the takedown, and keep it standing, I think it would be an interesting fight. That's all I'm saying.

shut up. i don't care. i was just asking him why does he dislikes the guy. from all the interviews/reports about kimbo, he seems like a dedicated, respectful fighter.

GSP is a better wrestler than Koshcheck, which is why GSP was able to take him down easily. GSP is the best wrestler at 170, that was known for awhile before the Kos fight happened. All you need to do is sit in on his training where he is able to stop the Canadian olympic wrestling team from taking him down and you would have known that. You seem to be interested in MMA, so here is some advice. If Heath Herring gets to +230 or higher, bet on him. Same thing with Henderson and +150.

GSP wasn't always the best wrestler. He trained and got better. If Kimbo takes his training seriously, I don't see why he wouldn't at least have a chance with Brock. On paper, Brock is a favorite. No doubt.
Matt Serra beat GSP. Good strikers always have a chance.

The MMA snob in me would say it's because Slice represents the worst image of the sport: the undisciplined fighter coming off the street without taking his lumps proper and working off hype. But then that'd just make me a hypocrite because Mark Hunt's one of my favorite fighters.
I think I dislike Slice because he's got a boring style. I'm not big into the meathead MMA.
