For the good of boxing I hope that Peter wins
I hate Tarver... he is a crackhead punk. I want him to lose.

I don't really have any interest in fights above ~170 pounds.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

i too hope peter starches Vitklit a la jeremy williams. thats the only reason why i'd tune into that fight.
what's your beef with tarver?
i always tune into a chad dawson fight. to me he's the most skilled fighter above junior middle.
i think tarver will have a good showing this time. this is his last chance to accomplish anything in this sport. if he loses he either retires or becomes calzaghe's next opponent. dawson's the MUCH better boxer at this point, but tarver still has a puncher's chance. despite his strengths, dawson's a bit chinny.

No. I'd pay $54.99 for it to not happen.

Tarver runs his mouth way too much when his best victories have been vs an out of his prime Jones and a SD with Rocky. I still think that Rocky got the SD.

Peter is fat... I didn't expect him to weigh more than Klitschko.

so you dont like any fighter who runs their mouth after a win? you must not like too many fighters then, cuz plenty do that. i think he sold his self well and is one of the better smack talkers in the game.
eric harding, montell griffin, glen johnson, roy jones (twice). was jones really past his prime the second time they fought? roy was unblemished, unchallenged, was still in great condition, had not been in any ring wars and was still undefeated at the time. oh, and tarver's the older fighter. i'd say tarver single-handedly put jones on the downside of his career with that one punch.

Peter resigns after 8 rounds.

That is a lot of gold.

Great song.

well, does chad dawson interest you?
PBF called him the best #4# fighter in all of boxing.
now i cant give THAT much praise, but he is a nasty nasty fighter.
great jab, has the hand speed of a welterweight, great combination puncher, monster body puncher, decent defense (mixing up footwork with a peek-a-boo) and he fights smart, never smothering himself or throwing wild punches.
i loved how he went to the body, especially his short left cross to the ribs that lead to his right hooks to the body and head. he's easily got the best southpaw hook in all of boxing.
i didnt like how he took rounds off, but i think that was part of his strategy.
tarver fought well IMO, but he was overwhelmed by bad chad's hand speed and body punching. tarver's got nothing to be embarrassed about, he lost to the better man tonight. i think he's got something left in the tank. odds are calzaghe will target him next to put another "name" on his shtty resume. you know joe wants nothing to do with pavlik or dawson.

Re: Showtime Card 10/11
I decided to watch it on West Coast viewing, which ended just after 11.
Vitali just dominated Peter. It reminds me how bad the HW div really is when a fighter with a 4 year layoff with no tuneups can come in and blowout a champ like that.
OTOH, I came away very impressed with Dawson's skills. His hand speed at 175 is amazing and his combinations looked dangerous. Jab was really good tonight too. Tarver fought a good fight but Dawson was on another level.
