Man, if I didn't have picture, I think I'd be listening to a soccer game. Hatton's got some fans.

I think Paulie broke his hand... didn't even use his right hand....

Good stoppage. I know it's tough for boxers when their trainers throw in the towel, but Malignaggi was so far back on the scorecard and doesn't have the power to knock Hatton out.

I agree even if Paulie didn't like it...
I heart Lampley.... first person out of his mouth Manu Ginobili when talking about the internationalization of sports.

No way. It's a sport for guts and character. You can lose just as honorably as you can win.
Horrible decision from Buddy. It's not like Paulie's had a lengthy career of abuse.
Meanwhile, with displaying such pathetic power over the course of the fight, he needs to prove he's got heart.

You stop a fight because your fighter is being irrevocably hurt, not because you calculate his chances of winning are slim...or even none. Especially in the 11th. Just let him have another round and a bit. Ugh.

I am really torn... Paulie was buzzed several times, and he is right he was hurt significantly worse in the Cotto fight. I thought it was a good stoppage( I would have thrown in the towel at that time) but I can understand that Paulie deserved and wanted to finish the fight. A fighter always wants to finish what he started. He doesn't want to be known as a guy that was stopped. I think it was fitting that like several hours ago I saw Rocky, and now my mind is changed. The fight was about going the distance vs the best and like you said, if your fighter isn't
irrevocably hurt, you don't throw the white flag.

I completely understand that from a fighter's view. But from a trainer and a friend"s (which I'm more familiar with) point of view, the first instinct is to protect your fighter/friend. Malignaggi had taken several clean hard shots in that round alone, let alone the fight. I wouldn't have been angry if they let him go through the 12th, but I could definitely understand why the towel was thrown.

Would you have thrown the flag for Apollo?
But seriously, I get you...irrevocably hurt, which Malignaggi wasn't, but I still don't blame his trainer.

If Paulie was doing anything I would have a problem but just surviving doesn't change my opinion of whether he was stop or not.

I thought it was a little premature, but I can see the reasoning for it from the other perspective.
