UFC 93

The Mark Coleman stuff on the Countdown is gold. His post-fight interviews after the first fight with Rua are hilarious. He didn't need 10 minutes of the show, mind you.

"I did the move that caused him to hurt himself!"

The Hendo/Franklin fight is one of the hardest fights for me to pick in quite a while. Should be a very good and even fight.

Also, I can't wait to see Coleman fight. My first ever UFC was the one where he came out of nowhere and steamrolled everyone (UFC 9 or 10) and I have been a huge Coleman fan ever since. I don't think he is gonig to beat Rua, but I am hoping for it.

Coleman fight will be interesting to see how he performs, I expect Rua to win, but should be an intense battle that one.

Henderson Franklin, definatly want Franklin to win, but its going to be a bloody close fight that I think.

Looking forward to it, and because its on in Ireland I can watch it on the night rather than avoiding sites before I watch it the next day lol.

The Coleman fight is completely ridiculous. I'd rather see Shamrock vs Ortiz IV.

Come on. Coleman might not have much of a chance, but at least Shogun gets an easy comeback fight that avenges a loss. I haven't seen the countdown show, so if they are hyping it up a lot, then it's kind of ridiculous.

Franklin vs. Henderson is awesome. I would have liked to see it a few years ago at 185, but I'll take what I can get. Like Chuck vs. Wandy, this is a fight I've wanted to see for years, it's hard to pick a winner, and I can only hope it delivers like that one.

Excited to see Denis Kang make his UFC debut, and Belcher is a pretty good opponent for him. Should make for an exciting fight that Kang can win, but I wouldn't be too shocked to see an upset.

Lytle vs. Davis should be the fight of the night, as long as they go out and do what everyone expects them to do.

Palhares vs. Horn is meh. Don't really see how Horn can win, but I would like it if it ended up as a nice submission grappling battle. Those can walk a fine line between being really good and "like watching turtles ****" though.

There was something on the undercard that seemed interesting, but I don't remember what it is now.

I don't expect Coleman to win, but I think it will be a more competetive fight than you guys think.

I dont think Coleman has what it takes to hang with Shogun. If Shogun is anything like he used to be, this will be over quick.

Can't wait to see Palhares fight. I think the dude has alot of potential, though all that muscle on him makes me think he could make WW.

Im a big Marcus Davis fan, Its gonna be a great stand up fight, I think Marcus has the better stand up, but it's close, ad Lytle is always game.

Kang is also a huge addition to the UFC, I hope he come in with a bang so they can hype a Silva/Kang fight.

And i got Franklin all day against Hendo. I find it crazy how the majority of fans are dogging Franklin for getting his ass whooped by Anderson, when everyone gets their ass whooped Anderson. Franklin's stand up is better than Dan's and I like his take down defense and his jits if it does go to the ground.

This is a great card, im pretty much lovin every fight, cant wait.

Don't say "jits". You're not on familiar terms with the discipline. Sound it out.

You must really be loving UFC 95 then!

For me, this is probably as good or better than whatever number the Chuck vs. Rashad and Silva vs. Cote fights were on, just off the top of my head. I also can't remember a card in the UK that was this good for what it's worth.

It's not an amazing card, but to be sandwiched between UFC 92 and UFC 94, it's not bad at all.

Just watched the countdown, and it has me really looking forward to the event. Even Coleman-Shogun, lol.

Just think, if Shogun comes back strong (this fight, and then another solid win or two), he'll be right back in the mix at LHW in the UFC. There are a ton of great matchups with him there, even if he doesn't reach the top of the heap.

Bah what a load of asshat.

For once I thought I was going to get to watch the event live as it happens [going 95, but being in Ireland, same time zone], rather than waiting [UFC 92 I had to wait 5 painful days to watch], but the dude I got into MMA recently cant make saturday because he's making cookies or something with his girlfriend.

If my Sky HD fails to record AGAIN I am going to go livid.

Least I can garantee on watching 95 live, gotta love the real O2!

Enough, Chris Lytle, we know you want to entertain the fans. It just reeks on insecurity.

I like Lytle, he makes for a nice fight and is a decent gatekeeper. Good to get a talented up and comer a win in a fight someone will remember.

What? Up-and-comer?

The promises being made by both sides in the Lytle vs Davis fight are (Please Use More Appropriate Word). "War", "not just FOTN, FOTY - we want this to be remembered for ages". WTF? Why? The point is to win in as dominant a fashion as possible, not to trade punishment. Besides, Davis should be the far better striker. If he uses foot and head movement, doesn't engage in a war but avoids Lytle's right, he can easily finish this in 2-3 rounds. He's so talented and awesome to watch, why is he looking to be Don Frye?

Because Don Frye is amazing.

I like Davis a lot but like CBR said, it could be a lot more painful than it needs to be.

I just don't know which way to go with Henderson or Franklin. I've seen Dan take on some strikers before and he's done well and he's taken some great grapplers like Palhares in the last fight and kept the fight on its feet. I feel like this could look like the Bisping-Leben match where Henderson is throwing those wild hooks and Franklin picks him apart with his technical striking. You need to watch the UFC Countdown where Henderson talks about being the **** out of Franklin and Rich's response is priceless. I was in hysterics after that. mahalo

Yeah, Franklin's got really straight punches and is technical. I think he wins this. Dan has not always done well against technical strikers. Bustamante did well against him in their Pride match, and Franklin's got a lot more KO power than Busta.

Wish this were a special rules 5 rounder. Hyping up an evenly-matched, 3 rounder main event...seems pointless.

Pretty much my thinking. Word for word.
