Great set of fights....

Kirkland will be tested vs the very heavyhanded Julio who was the ESPN prospect of the year a while back.

Should be a good card.

The main event will have fireworks, Ortiz is one of the best prospects in boxing, and Guerrero is fighting near his home.

HBO has done a good job of putting on quality cards so far.

Here's the results:

Guerrero/Yordan NC 2 - Guerrero couldn't see out his right eye because of a cut due to a Yordan accidental heabutt, so the bout was stopped.

Ortiz TKO 2 over Arnaoutis

Kirkland TKO 6 over Julio

It wasn't exactly entertaining compared to last week.

It always sucks to have a NC. Reminds me of Mosley/Marquez

Ortiz is a stud

Kirkland fights hard because he is scared of getting his ass kicked by a girl.

 I would be too after seeing that KO clip shown on HBO. Jesus.

Kirkland has a lot of power and his style is fan friendly but I'm not sure he's got the defense to be elite. I would love to see Angulo/Kirkland.

Arnaoutis is not a joke after looking at who he has fought(Torres, Holt, and Urango) but Ortiz just ended that so quickly. I don't think mid-level guys can last in the ring. I don't know if he's ready for top competition yet but he's close and he's in a division thats gotten a hell of a lot more interesting over the past couple months.

This is way late but just watched it last night. Kirkland's trainer is scary and I bet she motivates the crap out of anyone who buys into her system. She's got big guns, a straight up been to the bottom and survived toughness and shops at army surplus. I love it.

Post fight Kirkland said he was dropping his hands to bait Julio but that doesn't get around him keeping his head still and not moving at all while standing in front of Julio. Sometimes he would remember and looked pretty good but he needs a lot of work to make his defense second nature. He looks tough as nails though.

And Ortiz is a stud.
