Both solid choices. I would love to see Tito, Frye, Hughes, and Tanner get in sooner than later as well.

Good choices in Liddell and Mask. I had heard some other names that I just wouldn't want to see in the HOF. Not like it really means that much, but I'd kind of prefer that they keep it more exclusive.

Tito would be a good choice. He had a huge impact on the UFC. I'm not sure if Dana will ever let him in though.

Hughes is an obvious choice. He dominated his weight class for so long, and has been one of the UFC's top guys for years. Probably still the best Welterweight of all time until GSP builds up his resume a little more.

Frye I'm not sure about. I wouldn't argue against him getting in. He's an icon and won two of the early tournaments, but he was really only with the company for one year during the dark ages. So I'm not sure about that one.

And I'm sorry to say, but I would prefer Tanner be left out of the HOF. If he retired and lived a full life, I don't think you could look at his record and accomplishments and say "this guy needs to be in the Hall of Fame." I'd prefer not to see that changed just because he died too soon. Mask is kind of different because as a founder of Tapout and with all of his promotion of the sport, he could legitimately be in there as a "builder" like they have in other sports.

Other guys I'd like to see in there would be Pat Miletich (could be as unlikely as Tito), and a few guys down the road who are still competing now (Silva, GSP, BJ, Griffin....plus maybe show some love to the Pride guys for their accomplishments over there...Nog, Wandy, Shogun, CC).

If Mask had not died, he would not have gotten in either. But, like Tanner, sadly he did.

Good God, don't compare the Tapout guy to Tanner. Or their deaths. Evan was introspective and tortured and driven by God knows what, and died as a result. The other guy was in face paint and a sports car when he died.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

You're right, he wouldn't have gotten in now, and possibly not ever. But I think if there is ever going to be a category for builders or architects, or whatever you want to call it, the Tapout guys would have a pretty good case for being in there. A better case than Tanner as a fighter, IMO.

I wouldn't be kicking and screaming if they did decide to put Evan Tanner in there, I just don't really think it's neccessary. If they had left Mask out, I would not be too upset either, but I can see why he would get in.

I think eventually he would have got in(maybe Punk Ass too), but his sudden tragic death made him a lock. He is a pioneer of the sport, as now days you see tapout everywhere with the sport and he was a major supporter of the sport and fighters.

Hughes and Tanner I agree. But don't expect Tito to be....at least not with his current relationship with Dana White.

Agreed on Hughes and Tanner. Also agree it will be a longtime if/when Tito gets in.
